*Daryl's POV*
When I finally decide to head back to the house, where Sarah was most likely waiting for me, I stood on the porch and stared at the door for, trying to will myself to go back in. I knew that as soon as I entered, she'd be there bombarding me with questions. Questions that I didn't know how to answer.
Finally, I let out a sigh and pushed the door open, bypassing the living sitting room area to go straight to the bathroom and once in there, I turned the shower on and closed the door over.
As the room filled with steam, I braced my hands on the sink and stared at my reflection; taking note of the dark circles under my eyes before they caught Sarah pushing the door open.
"Hi,"
I gave her a nod and she took that as an okay to come in, crossing the small space between us to me and she wordlessly pulled the vest from my shoulders, setting it down on what I'm guessing was a hamper for clothes. She then moved to in front of me and began unbuttoning my shirt.
"What-" I began asking but her finger pressed against my lips.
"Shh. You'll feel better once you've had a shower. Do I have to take your pants off for you?"
"At least by me dinner first," I smirked but the smile slipped off my face as she stared at me, "I-I don't know why I went for him. He went for Glenn. It was jus-"
"A reaction," she finished, "I completely understand."
"I feel like 'm trapped," I suddenly whispered, "I know I said it before, but Jesus, I don't know if I can do this."
"You can," she mumbled, resting her hand on my cheek, "I know you can. Besides, didn't you once say that you could deal with being trapped if I was there too?"
I groaned, "Way to make me sound like a sap."
She smiled and pulled the door to the shower open, "Seriously, you'll feel much better."
I nodded and moved to enter the shower, catching her arm when she tried to leave, "Come in wi' me."
Instead of saying anything, she just pulled her shirt over her head and then moved to her pants and it was then that I realised that I still had my own on.
"Doofus," Sarah smiled as she passed by me and I took a moment to admire her as she climbed in before quickly tugging my pants off, cursing when my foot got caught and I heard her giggling.
"Shut up," I muttered, finally succeeding in getting them off and I threw them over my shoulder as I climbed in with her.
She grinned up at me as she reached for a bottle of something, shaking my head when I saw it was body wash.Strawberry scented body wash, "No. No way."
"Oh come on," she pouted, shaking the bottle in my face.
"No, I'll smell all fruity."
She shrugged and wrapped her arms around my neck, "I for one wouldn't be able to keep my hands off of you..."
"Hmm," I hummed, "Yeah, well it's not gonna happen. Jus' be happy ye' got me in here."
"Fine," she finally sighed, grabbing the washcloth and I watched silently as she began rubbing my arm, getting all of the dirt off of my skin.
"Thanks," I mumbled when she moved onto my other arm and she smiled.
"It's okay," she smiled, "But you need to wash your hair."
"Jesus woman, when I told ye' to get in here, I didn't mean for ye' to tell me wha' to do."
"Oh really?" she raised an eyebrow, "Then why did you ask me in here?"
"I dunno," I shrugged, "Kinda wanted to, y'know, fool around a little."
"Daryl Dixon!" she gasped, "When did you get so forward?"
Before I could answer however, she planted her lips on mine and pulled me back so she was leaning on the wall behind her.
Hmm, this was more like it.

Later, after night fell, we were all in Rick's house again when I stepped out onto the porch to have a cigarette.
The streets were empty and it was almost strange to not hear the sound of walkers growling or shuffling around.
When I was almost finished, the door opened and both Rick and Carol stepped out, coming to stand beside me.
"Wha's up?" I asked, flicking the end of the cigarette out onto the grass.
"Nothin'," he shrugged, "I was just thinking that maybe it's okay for us to sleep in our own places tonight."
"Okay."
"But what if it makes us weak?" Carol asked, voicing her worries.
"Carl said that," Rick mumbled, "But we won't get weak. That's not in us anymore. We'll make it work and if they can't make it, then we'll just take this place."
I gave him a nod when he looked at me, moving past him to get Sarah from inside only to meet her at the door.
"I was just going to take Zeus for a walk," she said when she saw my confused face.
"Well Rick says that we can just go back across the street. If ye' want to that is."
She gave me a smile and closed the door once Zeus was out too, "Sure. It'll be nice to sleep in an actual bed."
The dog then led the way back across the street, into the dark house and ran through to where the bedroom was.
"If he's on tha' bed, 'm gonna kill 'im." I muttered as the two of us made our way through after him, finding him indeed on the bed, tail wagging and everything.
"Just leave him," Sarah mumbled, kissing my cheek as she passed by me and I huffed, sitting down on the edge of the bed before undoing my boots and laying down.
I was almost asleep when she came out of the bathroom again, not opening my eyes as she moved around the room and then finally, she climbed into the bed beside me, moving around in the bed so she was resting against my arm.
"Night," she whispered and I hummed, kissing the top of her head softly.
"Night."
