"See anything yet?" Rick's voice came through the walkie talkie in my hand.

I watched him carefully from where I was stood on the roof of a building close by while he was stood on the top floor of a multi storey car park. Sasha and Tyreese were positioned beside me with snipers and Daryl and Noah stood watching over the officers who we had brought with us.

"Not yet." I answered, "But I'll let you know."

Daryl was pacing in front of me, looking up when I approached, "Wha' the hell is takin' 'em so long?"

"They'll be here soon." I whispered, giving his forearm a light squeeze.

"Maybe Rick's plan was the better one. It'd all b-"

"Heads up!" Tyreese called, grabbing our attention, "They're heading towards the vantage point."

"Rick," I said into the talkie as I walked over to the ledge, "We're good to go."

"Alright."

Daryl and Tyreese switched places and the three of us watched quietly as they conversed but of course, we couldn't hear but the two with their guns trained on them. A walker came walking up the ramp to where they were and Sasha swiftly took care of it, startling the two officers that came to meet them.

I moved back from the ledge, back to where Noah was watching Shepherd and who I found out was Licari.

"I didn't think that I'd ever want to go back in there," he said quietly as I leant against the car beside him, "But knowing that she's in there alone..."

"Hey," I said, giving him a nudge, "She's gonna be back with her family soon enough."

"Family," he mumbled, "You really think yourselves as one?"

I nodded, looking over at Sasha and the others, "Yeah. They're my family and I don't know what I'd do without them."

"Sarah?" the walkie crackled, "You there?"

"I'm here."

"Get ready. We're going in."

****************

The hospital building loomed over us, it's clean exterior strange to see compared to the other ruined buildings around us as we walked through the parking lot, towards the door that Dawn told us to go through.

Inside, the stairwell was dark and I gripped the back of Daryl's vest so he could somewhat lead me up.

The corridor we reached was dimly lit and looking through the glass doors, we could see patients and officers waiting for us.

The woman who was stood in front, I'm assuming that she's Dawn, said something to her people and they reluctantly holstered their weapons.

"Us too." Rick said quietly as he pushed the door open and we all kept our guns pointed to the floor as we spread out across the width of the corridor.

We stood staring at each other silently, scrutinizing each other until Beth came out of one of the rooms, pushin Carol in a wheelchair.

"Where's Lamson?" Dawn asked, looking at the two cops we had hostage.

"Rotters got him." Shepherd said quietly.

"We saw it go down."

"Oh," her voice wavered, "That's too bad. He was one of the good ones."

I caught Beth's eye and she gave me a reassuring smile.

"One of yours for one of mine." Dawn said loudly and Rick nodded so she looked to her left and instructed someone to push Carol out to us and we, as in Daryl and I, stepped forward; him helping her out of the chair while I took the bag that was being held out to us and Rick handed over Licari.
