"Ye' stay here," Daryl said quietly, "Yeah?"

It was maybe a couple hours before dawn and we were all gathered outside what we believed to be Negan's compound. Tara, Jesus and Andy and the boy, Craig were all inside the car beside us waiting for the next part of the plan to be put into action.

I nodded, closing my eyes when he leant down to kiss my forehead, "Be careful."

"I will," he promised, pulling the back door open for me, "Now get in there."

I had decided to come tonight purely because if something went wrong, I wanted to be there to help. However, I was a little pissed that Rick agreed to bring Maggie along. In my personal opinion, I felt that she shouldn't be here.

I wordlessly climbed into the car, giving Daryl's hand a squeeze before he closed the door behind me, watching as he returned to Rick's side before they all slowly filed into the compound.

"Your husband seems tough," Jesus said quietly, making me look at him, "And smart. He'll be okay."

"Yeah? You still managed to kick his ass."

He gave me a quick smile, "He just didn't expect it. Any other time, I'm sure he would have floored me."

He was clearly trying to make me feel better and honestly, it was working.

"I told Denise that I love her." Tara spluttered from driver's seat but she wasn't looking at me, anyone really but she was staring out the front window, "And I only did it because I was nervous about doing this; taking out the saviours."

"Okay, we can talk about that." I murmured, glad to have something that would take my mind off of the potential danger that Daryl could quite possibly be in right now. Oh god, I should have went with them.

"Hey," Jesus said again and I felt his hand on my arm, "Like I said, they'll be fine." He then focused his attention back on Tara, "This Denise woman, do you love her?"

She stared at him in the rearview mirror before nodding, "I think I do."

"Then you know who you're fighting for. That's all there is to it."

Tara and Craig were asleep when the alarms from inside started blaring, making my heart leap into my throat.

They knew that we were here.

Tara woke up and immediately left the vehicle, me following close behind her but I turned to Jesus, "Go back to the hilltop with Craig. Get our half of the deal done."

He opened his mouth but I shut the door in his face, running after Tara as she reached the door to the compound, only to jump back when the door opened, two people who were not of our group attempting to flee the conflict.

I shot the one in front immediately, killing him instantly with a shot to the head while Tara took the second, hitting him somewhere but she didn't stop to see where. She just continued on her way inside.

"I got him," Jesus said as he passed by me, shooting him in the head before turning to look at me, "You coming?"

I followed behind him closely, making sure to keep my hand on the trigger of my gun just in case we got ambushed. Who knows where they could be in this place. It was like a goddam maze.

He held his finger to his lips at the sound of approaching footsteps, nodding to my gun when two of their men ran past us and the two of us stepped out from around our corner and shot them before they had a chance to notice us.

We continued our way through the mass of corridors, coming across little to no men from the Saviours. They were obviously focusing on where more of our group were attacking them.

"You still think they're okay?" I asked, keeping my voice low.

"I do," he said, turning to give me a bright smile, "Don't be so pessimistic."

I huffed quietly. I wasn't trying to be pessimistic, I was trying to be realistic.

We both threw our guns up when we rounded another corner, only to see that it was Daryl and Rick, some of my worry disappearing when I saw that he was still alive.

"Go with them," Jesus said, looking down at me.

"What about you?"

"I'll be fine on my own." he grinned, running off with his coat flapping behind him.

"Though' ye' were staying in the car," Daryl muttered, pulling me behind a pillar.

I shrugged, giving him a teasing smile of my own, "I thought you might need me to save your asses."

An eerie silence fell over the place, Rick turning to look at us as members of our group started finding their way towards us, "I think that's them all."

"We done it?" I asked, "How do you know which one was Negan?"

"We don't," he said honestly, "But one of them has to be."

He had a point.

As we all emerged back outside, it felt as if the sun had just come up and I was glad to see that Jesus had told either Andy or Craig to drive the car back to the Hilltop.

We decided to search the place and when we found the yard, we found that there was a bunch of cars and RVs.

"Me and Heath could take that one," Tara said quietly, "We were planning on leaving straight after anyway, right?"

"Are you sure you still want to go?" Glenn asked, "You could always go after things have settled down a little."

"We can't do that," Heath said quietly, "We'd rather get it over and done with as soon as we can."

"Be careful." I told them both, waving as they got into the RV.

When they gone, we all regrouped in the yard in front of the building, everyone talking when the sound of a metal door sliding open had everyone turning around.

Some guy came riding out on a bike. Daryl's bike to be precise.

As he rode towards the only available exit, Rosita shot him, hitting him in the shoulder. He fell off the bike and quickly got back up to try and run for it instead but Daryl tackled him and started punching him.

"Daryl!" I yelled, grabbing his arm to try and get him off the man, "Daryl, stop!"

"Where the hell did ye' get the bike?!" Daryl shouted when Rick intervened, pulling him off and I pulled him away.

Rick pointed his gun at the man, "Give me one reason why I shouldn't."

Suddenly, a crackling noise went through the air and then a woman's voice came from somewhere on the man's body, "You, put the gun down."

Naturally, we all started looking around, trying to spot if we had indeed missed anyone, but I personally couldn't see anyone. Unless she wasn't in the immediate area.

"We have a Carol and a Maggie," the voice continued, "Figured that'd be something you wanted to talk about."
