Heeseung unlocked his door and made his way into his apartment alongside Rue carried on Jay's back. They settled her down on his bed before making their way into the living room.
Heeseung sat his body on the couch beside Jay. An awkward silence passing them by. That as until Jay asked something, wanting to break the silence and get some answers.
"Heeseung, I hope you know that everything that happens tonight does not change our relationship. But it may with Rue, I can't have her in danger like this ever again. How many more secrets are you still keeping?"
Heeseung sighed at the thought of not being able to be with Rue unless she was safe. But with him, she would never be safe. Not with his father's crimes creeping up on him.
He shook his head. "No, that's it. But I can't promise there would be follow ups on this situation given my father's crimes" he admitted staring down at the floor.
Jay sighed nodded his head. He understood his best friend's anger and his troubles. He would help along the way, but he couldn't risk Rue in any dangerous situation.
"I like her, Jay," Heeseung spoke barely above a whisper. He faced his head to Jay's who was staring back at him.
They made eye contact filled with warmth and understanding. But the pain knowing the truth. "I know, Hee. But-"
"-I will protect her. I will make sure something like this never happens again. I promise if anything happens to her I will beat myself up until the day I die." Heeseung began to tear up slowly as tears escaped his eyes.
Jay looked at him sympathetically. He wrapped his arms around Heeseung with tears falling from his own eyes. "I know you would."
Jay let go of Heeseung from his embrace, looking at each other with tearful eyes. "I'm trusting you" Jay said to Heeseung seriously. He nodded his head. Jay knew Heeseung well enough to know he never breaks his promise.
"Go to her, see if she's okay" jay smiled patting his friends back. Heeseung smiled back and walked over to his bedroom.
He was hesitant to open the door handle. He took a deep breath and opened it. To find Rue peacefully lying down on his bed. He walked in closing the door behind him. Before sitting on the bed beside Rue.
