My eyes fluttered open to the sound of my phone ringing. I only had one free arm due to Karin laying on my other one, so I stretched over to my nightstand to hurry and grab my phone before the sound woke her up as well.

"Yo." My voice was raspy as hell due to my dry throat.

"I got that package for you. I'm outside." My plug spoke through the phone.

"Damn I forgot you was bringing it. Aite hol up." I hung up and went to my app to open the gate for him. I looked over at Karin who was still sleep. I carefully lifted her off my arm and slid out of the bed cautiously to not wake her up. I looked at the time seeing it was 6am.

I grabbed some sweatpants out my closet and slide on the prototype of the slides that I was planning on releasing soon.

I looked back at her again to make sure she was still in slumber and she was indeed still knocked the hell out.

I jogged downstairs stairs and open the front door, stepping out and closing it behind me.

"What's up gang?"

"What's up witcha" I responded dapping him up.

"Where you want it?" He asked.

"Sit it in right here in the middle." He did what I asked and came back over to me. I examined my purchase. "Yeahhh that shit fye."

"Man custom color inside and out. Added some extra shit under the hood.

"I appreciate it. My finance manager should have sent over the wire?" I questioned.

"Yep I got it, all good. Enjoy." He dapped me up and headed back to his truck to leave.

I opened the driver side to inspect the interior. "Sheesh"

I closed back the door locking it and took the keys in the house. I jogged back up the stairs entering my bedroom seeing that Karin was still asleep. I sat on the end of my bed looking at my phone to check the notifications. Everybody and they mama, including mine, was blowing me up. Today was the day of my album release party, and the album would be available on all streaming platforms tonight at midnight. I just wanted to chill with my baby til the party but clearly I have to entertain my team who seems to not be able to do anything by themselves.

My phone rings causing me to shake my head.

"Yo." I answered irritated.

"Okay so I'm at the venue the decorator just arrived and-" "what you calling me fo?" I cut my assistant off mid sentence.

"I'm getting to that if you would just-

"Nisha, call Ant. I'm not doing this with y'all today. If I wanted to do it I would just do it myself, that's what y'all here for." My assistant calling me to ask me questions about the party is irritating asf. Between her and my manager, Ant, you mean to tell me neither of them can figure it the fuck out. I supply the money, I give them the vision. It's up to them to make the shit happen.

"Chris, i understand but-"

"ain't no buts. Make it happen." I hang up the phone before she can say anything else.

"Shit aggravating as fuck bro."

"Stop being mean." I hear Karin sweet soft voice from behind me. I turn to see her eyes fluttering as she struggles to adjust to the light.

"I'm sorry baby I didn't mean to wake you."

"It's okay. So what's wrong?" She asks as she sits up to lean against the headboard.
