Karin sat in her desk with her headphones in, listening to "Lil Top" by NBA Youngboy. Her head bobbed to the music as she wrote out ideas for her senior exit project. She was getting a head start because after speaking with her guidance counselor she found out that if she submitted her project early, she would be eligible for early graduation.

It was hard for her to concentrate on her work with thoughts of a Chris flooding her head. She's been ignoring him since the club on Friday. Clearly Chris has a situation going on with Indya and she didn't wanna get in the middle of it. Not only did her beefing with one of Chris's girl bring the possibility of exposing their unorthodox relationship, but Karin wasn't no side chick. Nor was she about to be another addition to Chris's roster. If he couldn't cut all ties with Indya, then she was gonna keep her distance to avoid having her feelings hurt anymore than they were.

The bell ringing snapped her out of here thoughts and it was then when she realized the whole class had flew by. Karin gathered her things in her bag, and left out. It was lunch period, she hadn't went to the cafeteria since the incident with Jayda but today she was hungry and she forgot to bring food with her.

She went to her locker to drop her bag off only keep her phone, car keys, and her wallet with her.

As she entered the cafeteria, she focused strictly on the line to get food. Her music still playing in her ear, she avoided making contact with anyone. When it was her turn she asked for fries and that's it. After she got her food she went to the vending machine to get soda.

As she pressed her choice on the vending screen she felt a soft tap on her shoulder. "Fuck." She whispered knowing who it was.

After she retrieved her drink from the hatch she swung around to be faced with who she thought was her bestfriend, Jayda.

"Hey Karin." She said playing with her fingers. "Can we talk for a minute?"

Letting out a sigh, Karin nodded. The two left the building walking outside.

Karin

It was only a matter of time that Jayda would try talking to me at school. I blocked her from texting or calling me on my phone, and I had her muted on Instagram. The hurt from knowing she shared personal details of my life with my biggest enemy still lingered in my heart, but there was no way I could keep avoiding her.

I followed her out into the common area. She sat a the bench we normally would hang out at. I stood across from her with my arms folded waiting for her to speak.

"Look, I know you're probably still mad at me. And honestly I don't know what to say to make you forgive me. All I know is that your my bestfriend. My rock, my backbone, and there is no excuse for telling your business. It was never in a shady way I swear, sometimes I just talk too much and I don't realize it until it's too late. But I swear I will never ever speak your business to anyone again. I miss my friend..." she choked over her words cause my eyes to burn with hot tears forming. I swallowed down the lump in my throat.
