Chapter 23-

“I have never been so happy to get out a car in my life!” Justin yells into the parking lot of the mall.

Shane looks over to me and I look over to him, we both share a sly smile and walk right behind Justin and start singing the song that we left off on.

“WE'RE DANCING LIKE WERE DUMB DUMB DA-DA-DA-DUMB!” we yell at the top of our lungs from behind him.

Justin covers his ears and turns around to face us. His face is so funny that it makes me laugh till I cry.

“J-justin, y-you l-oo-k soo funny!” I stutter in between fits of laughter. Shane nods his head and wipes his eyes. We get weird looks from the other people in the parking lot so Justin takes his hand and covers my mouth.

“If you guys aren't quiet we're going to get caught.” I nod my head, but still manage to giggle. Shane starts to cough to try to stop laughing.

We walk into the mall in silence.

“How about we go to Starbucks so I can explain to Shane why I was crying earlier, my treat?” I ask them?

They nod and we make our way to Barnes and Noble, since they have a built in Starbucks. After we get our orders we find a table and sit down, I poke my finger in my frappuccino and pull it out of the cup putting in my mouth to eat the whipped cream.

I look over to Shane and see him holding his tongue between his fingers which causes me to laugh. The people who're reading books look over to me and glare.

“So do you want the story from the beginning or from where it starts today?”

“Beginning.” he says.

I tell him about how me Chase were dating for a few years and how he was my boyfriend. I then go on to tell him about our fight, which Justin knew about but didn't know why so he interrupts me when I try to move on.

“What was that fight even about?” he asks me curious. I look away and back to him.

“Do you really want to know?” I ask him, waiting. He nods his head so I continue. “You.” I say shrugging my shoulders. He looks at me confused and I roll my eyes.

“He came over to my house and told me I had to stop hanging out with you because he didn't trust me and you or something like that. Then he basically called me a whore I got mad and yelled at him, then he walked towards me with his fists shaking like he was going to hit me and that's when Jessica cam outside and told him to leave after that.” Justin looks at me with wide eyes that hold a bit of anger.

“He tried to hit you?” he asks me surprised. I sigh and look over to the book shelf’s, trying not to look in his eyes.

“Alexa, look at me.” I look over to him and bite my lip.

“I think he was going to.” I say sheepishly. He sighs and covers his face with his hands.

“Why didn't you tell me?” he says after a minute.

“Well, you never asked for the details.” I look over to Shane who raises his eyebrows at me.

“Okay, I’m going to finish this story now, without interruptions.” I say pointing my finger at Justin. He nods and I take a deep breath.

“So we fought, then we made up and I started to notice that Aimee was acting weird and by weird I mean kicking me under the lunch table and nearly breaking my ankle during cheerleading practice.” he takes a sip of his coffee and nods, a signal for me to go on. I pause to take a drink of my frappuccino.
