Don't Look Back- Chapter 2

Chapter 2-

  After homeroom was Trig, and after Trig was AP English; which is a required class for Seniors. That's the class I was in now; along with Chase and Aimee.  

Chase and I sat together; of course, and Aimee sat with some Kyah chick. I really wasn't paying attention even though I should have been considering that AP English wasn't my greatest subject.   The class had ten minutes left so I tore out a piece of paper and wrote on it passing it to Chase it said; What are you doing after football practice today?    He looked at the paper then took it from me and wrote back; Nothing why? 

  I got the paper back and wrote again; Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come over and hang out?    He took the page sighing and wrote me back; Sure id love to ill come over around 5:30, okay? 

I nodded my head and got out of my seat it was time for me to show Justin to his next class. I walked by the teacher waving the pass and went to find Justin in his class. 

He walked out the same time I did and I smiled.

  "Are you ready to go?" I asked him. He nodded and started walking in front of me. "Well I see someone doesn't like to talk." I said coming up beside him.  

"Well what is there to say?" He asked. I shrugged and looked at him, my breath caught in my throat at the sight of him. No, I told myself you can't think like that Alexa you have a boyfriend. He must of stopped walking because I ran into his back and fell.  

"Ow..." I mumbled. He let out a small chuckle and I sat there on the floor looking up at him.

"Well are you going to help me up or not I mean you did make me fall..." After I got done asking I outstretched my hand to him pouting. He smiled, took my hand and helped me up, I couldn't help but notice how my hand tingled slightly. I blushed and he kept a small smile on his face. "Thank you." I mumbled looking away, I didn't want him to see me blushing at him -again.  

I looked back at him and remember that we stopped walking. "Wait, why did you stop walking in the first place?" He looked at me and smirked. I literally hit my forehead as I remembered. "Oh yeah, I was supposed to finish showing you around." I blushed at how stupid I sounded.  

"Well, now you remember, why don't you start showing me around now Alexa?" He said it in a teasing way which made me want to stick my tongue out at him, but I resisted the urge and put a hand on my hip instead.  

"Ok," I said and rolled my eyes at him. "The cafeteria is this way and I'm walking first this time because I don't want to be tripped again."  

 I turned around and glared at him after saying it. He grinned and I couldn't help but smile a bit. "Follow me, the cafeteria is this way." We walked to the cafeteria and even with how much time we wasted getting there, we still had a lot of time left to eat.  

We got in line and ordered our food.   "So um, listen I don't really know anybody so I was wondering could I sit with you and your friends for today?" He asked the question like it pained him and I laughed and smiled at him. "Well of course you can, here walk this way we usually use these two tables." I told him pointing at the two big tables closest to the exit. I sat down and he sat next to me.   "Thank you," He told me.  

 "No problem, I was going to ask you to sit with us anyway, but you beat me to it." I told him smiling as I opened my Sierra Mist and took a drink, all of a sudden I feel hands on my side and I start laughing since my sides are ticklish, and now I'm chocking.  

I'm coughing my eyes out and my eyes start to water, I feel a stinging in my nose, and a firm hand patting me on the back.

  "What the heck!" I stare at him with my eyes wide, and he just laughs, I watch him laugh and that pisses me off and he laughs even more!  

"I'm sorry Alexa but, that was hilarious!" He wipes a tear from his eyes. I huff and turn my head away from him.  

"Freaking jerk..."I mumble kind of hoping he can hear it. He turns to me and raises his eyes in mock hurt. "Alexa! That hurt my feelings." I smile and turn back to him, "Oh really? I didn't know you had any! I'm sorry." I playfully pat his shoulders and once he looks away I take a drink of my pop not trusting him. Out the corner of my I see someone with familiar brown-black hair walk towards me.   "OMG! Alexa, have you seen the new kid, he's freaking Ho-" I but in on her talking before she can embarrass herself further.

"Yes! I have and he's sitting next to me actually..." I give the 'what are you crazy' look and she blushes.  

"Hi, my names Justin." He says it trying to act polite, I slightly glare at him and I know he can tell since he smirks at me as he's shaking Jessica's hand.  

I see Aimee come over to us and I smile at her, asking her what's up, Chase walks in behind her he walks over and sits on my other side, he leans down and kisses my forehead, I can't help but notice how he smells a bit like Pure Seduction by Victoria's Secret, but I ignored it not thinking anything of it.  

"Hey babe how's your day been?" he asked me smiling.  

"So far so good... Except some jerk tried to kill me..." I mumble incoherently so only one person in particular could hear me. He smirks and starts talking to some of the other people at our table, Jessica looks at me with a sly smirk on her face, I look at her confused and mouth, what? She looks at me and shakes her head and raises her eyebrows, indicating she'll talk later when there are less people.  

Lunch goes by pretty fast, but I kept feeling myself being slightly kicked under the table. I felt it come from across from me so I knew it wasn't Justin. Before I could look the bell rang, and Aimee was the first to leave. Justin and I got up from the table and they stared at us.  

"I have to show him around school." I explained to Chase and Jessica. They looked at me with an 'Oh' expression. We headed out and I showed him to our class, yes I said our class I have the lucky pleasure of being abused in, yet again.  

 "Well this is the Biology class." I state he looks at me as I walk in. "What?" I asked as I raised a hand to my face. "Is there something on my face?" He shook his head no and smiled.

  "Well, we got new lab partners so do you want to be mine?” I look at him again and he's smiling a teasing smile. Ugh! What the heck was so funny! "What the heck is funny?!" He looks at me and laughs.  

"You know Alexa, can you try and talk a little quieter." I role my eyes at him and then sit down in my seat. He comes over and takes the one next to me still with that very annoying smirk on his face.    "Okay what is so funny you're really making me feel self-conscious." I look at him and put on my best pout face. He rolls his eyes and leans down to me. "You have food on your lip." 

   He takes my face in one hand and uses the other hands thumb to wipe away the food. My face turned red instantly.  "Um, t-thanks." I know I sound really stupid, so I turn my head away from him and blush. Oh my gosh, I hope no one saw that and got the wrong impression. I look around the room and thank fully no one was looking this way. I sigh relieved. Like I said earlier this is going to be a long day, a very long day.
