Chapter 25-

I woke up to the feeling of someone slowly tracing patterns on my hip. The tingles and sparks told me it was Justin so I kept my eyes closed and pretended to be asleep.

I was afraid that if I opened my eyes he'd move away.

"I know you're awake Alexa." I took this time to slowly open my eyes.

His arms where wrapped around me and our legs where tangled together. I instantly blushed.

"How'd you know I was awake?" I looked up at him, which was kind of a hard task to do since his chin was rested on my head.

He shrugged his shoulders. "I just had a feeling."

"Didn't you sleep on the floor?" he nodded and I raised my eyebrow at him. "Then why are you on the bed?"

"You woke up crying so I came to see what was wrong and I just fell asleep here." I nodded my head.

"What time is it?" I asked him still feeling kind of tired. He moved to look at the clock on the nightstand.

"6:20"

I yawned and I saw him smirk.

"Go back to sleep." he whisperd to me as he moved his hand from my hip to brush my hair away from my face.

I laid my head down on his chest and closed my eyes as he began to play with my hair. I tried to fall asleep but my wrist just started to bother me.

I let out a sigh and lifted up my head again.

"Are those pain pills still there?" he nodded and handed me the pills, along with a glass of water. I sat up and took the pills and handed him the glass of water back.

I let out a sigh. Justin looked at me confused.

"What's wrong?" he asked me slightly concerned.

"like I said last night, I have nightmares when I take pills before I sleep."

"How about this, if you start to cry or anything I'll wake you up."

"But you need to sleep too."

"Yeah and so do I, Alexa and Justin, both of you shut up so I can sleep!" I smiled at Shane, actually forgetting he was here.

"Sorry Shane! Do you promise you'll get some sleep and wake me up if I have a nightmare?" he smiled at me.

"Of course." I smiled and laid down next to him he rolls his eyes and pulls me to him so that I'm layin on his chest with our legs tangled again.

I blushed and closed my eyes adjusting my head so it's near the crock of his neck.

I fell asleep easily, not thinking about anything.

I finally woke up around 10 o'clock feeling someone starring at me.

"Yeah you guys sure are friends." I hear Shane say standing above us.

I remembered the way I'm sleeping and instantly blush; again.

"Shane, just shut up." I hear Justin grumble from underneath me.

"What was that? You want me to jump on you guys? Okay, I will!" before I could move or even think about what Shane said he jumped on top of us.

"Oof, Shane your squishing me!" I cried out moving my arms from around Justin's neck and attempting to push Shane off.

Justin struggled to sit up so he could push him off of us. I decided to try moving my legs so I untangled them from Justin's and started wiggling them.

It kind of worked because it got Shane off me so I could sit up, which meant Justin could sit up. I looked over to him and got an idea. He seemed to be thinking the same thing too because he smiled and nodded at me.

We both pushed Shane off the bed and he landed on the floor face first.

I fell on the bed laughing and Jenifer walked into the room in her pajamas.

"It's 10 am, what's with all the noise?" Jenifer said sounding slightly annoyed.

"Blame Shane, he started it!" I sobered up and pointed my finger at him accusingly.

If anyone deserved to be blamed for being loud it would be Shane.

Shane pursued his lips and looked up at me.

"Well I just wanted to join you guys in bed." he said trying to act innocent.

"What do you mean join them in bed?" Jenifer stepped in the room putting her hands on her hips looking between me and Justin.

I scowled down to Shane who was smiling due to the change of topic.

"We didn't do anything." I said defending myself. Justin nodded in agreement.

"It didn't look like nothing..." I heard Shane mutter under his breath.

My face heat up. "We were just sleeping!" I say tired of hearing their accusations.

Jenifer looked over to Justin frowning.

"What?" he asked her with a sigh.

She shrugged still frowning.

"It better have been just sleeping like last time." Shane wiggled his eyebrows at me suggestively. I just blushed deeper and look away.

Jenifer gave us a skeptical look before walking out the door.

I glared at Shane till he turned around to face me, when he did I thrown a pillow at his head; hard.

"Gah, Alexa what's your problem?" Shane asked holding the pillow to his forehead.

"Did you really have to say that?!" I asked him my voice sounding shrill.

"Chill out, you make it sound as if your a virgin or something." my face heat more and I bit my lip looking away from him.

Why was it that when ever I was at Justin's house did people have to ask if I was a virgin?

"You are aren't you?" he asked me, bewildered.

I nodded. "Yes, I am a virgin."

"How? I mean, you're so hot." Shane started to think about it and he looked really confused.

"Because I only ever had one boyfriend who eneded up cheating on me; plus I just didn't feel ready even though he surely was." I frowned remembering a few different times he was more than ready.

One time was when we had the get together whith the cheerleaders and football players. Chase pulled us away from everyone and into a dark room.

There was booze there and he had been drinking a bit. He tried to force himself on me but I ran out and got Jessica.

We left the party after that and the next day at school he apologized and I forgave him since he had been drinking.

My face started to finally cool down for which I was grateful.

I looked down to Shane and I saw him smirking and he also had this glint to his eyes that I didn't like.

"You know Alexa, I could help you with that problem...." I covered my ears with my hands and stood up from the bed.

"La la la la la, I'm not listening to you!" I didn't take my hands away from my ears till I saw him stop talking.

"I'm going to go get changed." and with that I left the room, but not before I heard Shane yell out in pain.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened.

I smiled to myself and walked to the bathroom to change out of Justin's pajamas.

Later that day me and Justin were at the park. Shane's mom told him he needed to be home.

He was grounded because he forgot to call his mom before he stayed the night at Justin's and for skipping school.

A little part of me wished that he was here but a bigger part of me was glad to be alone with Justin.

He took me back to my house to change my clothes and lucky for me, Aimee, Chase and all their 'friends' were passed out after drinking almost all the liquor in the cabinets.

Right now we were swinging. Well more like I was because he was pushing me.

"Jump." he told me when the swing swung back to him. I turned my head to see him.

"No way! I'll probably kill myself." he chuckled.

"I'm pretty sure no ones ever died from jumping off of a swing before, plus you used to do more scarier things than jump from swings Ms. cheerleader." he said smugly.

I just pursued my lips and remembered something.

"My ankle! I can't jump due to my sprained ankle." I smirked at him thinking I won.

"If it's so sprained, where's the cast? And also you told me your doctor said it was fine." I cursed under my breath knowing he won.

"I don't wanna jump, I could hurt myself." I stated matter of factly.

"Oh, okay. How old are you Lexa?" Justin asked me. I kind of got confused by this new question.

"17 going on 18?" I told him but it came out more like a question.

"Really? Your acting like such a baby then." he said and I could hear the smile in his voice.

"I am not a baby!" I yelled at him.

"Sure, you're not." he said sarcastically. I let out a huff of air.

"What do I get if I jump?" I turned my head back to look at him while he pushes me again.

"Ice cream." I thought it over for a second.

"Any kind I want?" I bargain with him.

"Any." I nodded and the next time he pushed me I jump from the swing.

I turned around toward him and find him sitting on the swing.

"You just wanted my swing didn't you?" I asked with my hands on my hips.

"Yeah I did." he told me.

"But your not even swinging!"

"So?"

"Justin, you make no sense at all." I rolled my eyes and walked toward him.

"Let's do something else." I grabbed ahold of his hands and pull him up to his feet.

He smiled down at me and I pulled him away from the swings.

"Where to?" Justin asked me as he laced our fingers together.

"I was thinking that maybe we could walk around for a while."  I looked over to him to see how he responded.

"Sounds good." he told me pulling me closer to him.

We walked together and talked about anything and nothing at all. It was nice and I really enjoyed it.

We made it to the end of the trail and ended up near the waterfall.

"Have you ever been up there before?" I asked him, looking toward the waterfall.

"No." he said following my gaze.

"Let's go then." I tugged his hand and started walking up the path that led to the top of the waterfall.

It was a quiet walk but I enjoyed it. The sun began to set and you could hear the birds chirping in the trees.

We finally made it to the top once it was starting to get dark.

I lead him to the railing and looked down at the fall.

"It's pretty isn't it?" I looked over to him, it was getting harder to see now the sun was fully set.

"Very." he spoke softly looking at me.

I blushed slightly and put my hands in my pockets getting cold. Justin pulled me to him and wrapped his arms around me.

"I told you to bring a jacket." he said his head close to my ear.

"You don't have one either." I pointed out to him. I felt him shrug his shoulders.

"I never wear a jacket." I rolled my eyes at him and gave up. I moved out of his arms and bent down to pick up a small pebble.

I tossed it over the edge and watched as it got tossed around in the water.

I heard the snap of a camera and turned toward Justin who had his cell phone out, camera ponited at me.

"Why'd you take that? I wasn't even ready, delete it." I moved closer to him and he backed away putting the phone behind his back.

"No, thanks." he walked away from me and over to the grassy area. I followed him from behind and tried to grab his phone which was still behind his back.

I was'nt successful because he seemed to be anticipating this and spun around at the last second.

"Nice try Lexa." he smirked at me and I frowned. I tried to think of a way to get the phone but couldn't come up with something really good.

So I decided on something else that he was probably expecting.

I hugged him but instead of putting my arms around his neck I put them around his waist.

It almost worked but he caught on at the last second and backed away causing me to slip and fall backwards.

He put his phone away and sat down next to me.

"If you prove you're stronger, you get my phone." he said smiling smugly.

"How could I do that?" I asked confused.

I knew I wasn't stronger than he was.

"You gotta pin me down for 10 seconds."

I bite my lip and decided to try anyway.

"Okay, you're on." I held my hand out for him to shake and used this moment as my time to pin him.

I got on pto of him and straddled him pinning his arms above his head.

I smiled smuggly and started counting.

I only got to 8 and he flipped it so he's pinning me down.

"Did you really think I'd let you win?" I nodded and blushed looking up at him.

He looked down at me and his eyes travel down to my lips. Instead of holding my wrists down he twined our fingers together above my head.

"Justin....." I whispered trying to tell him the same thing I always tell him when he try's to kiss me; that friends don't kiss friends.

I was still looking up at him as he looked down at me. I would have tried harder to move out from underneath him but I just didn't want to. I wanted him to kiss me.

But at the same time I didn't. The reason for that was because even though he told me he liked me, I didn't think he liked me as much as I liked him.

That thought alone made me scared sometimes.

His face inched closer to mine till our lips briefly touched eachothers.

The feeling was crazy and my lips felt as if they where on fire from the feeling.

He leaned down to me again and his lips met mine fully. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. He let go of my hand and brought his down to cup my face.

I placed my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him closer to me. His thumb started to trace my cheek and I smiled.

I decided to try to take control of the kiss so I lightly ran my tounge across his bottom lip, asking for entrance into his mouth. He was shocked for a minute but he obeyed and let me in.

He moved our hands down to our sides and let mine go so he could grab my hip. He fought me for dominance and he won.

His hand gripped my hip roughly and I let out a small moan, I could feel him smile and I felt my face heat up.

I got frustrated and decided to make him feel embarrassed too. I kissed him harder and tangled my fingers in his hair near the nape of his neck.

I heard him let out a groan and I chuckled. He moved his mouth away from mine and I was grateful because I was running out of air quickly.

"It's not fair to tease me like that Alexa." his husky voice whisperd near my ear and I shiverd.

"You started it Justin; friends don't kiss friends." I stated pouting, my hands still clasped behind his neck.

He smirked at me and leaned closer so his forehead was resting on mine. "Well Alexa I consider us as best friends." I rolled my eyes but couldn't help and smile.

"Plus, you can't say you didn't want me to." he smirked even more and I blushed.

He kissed me again, but this time softly and slowly.

"You two do realize your in a PUBLIC park right?" I broke away from him and turned to see the lady from chuck e cheese along with her daughter.

She had her daughters face hidden from looking at us. She was glaring hard at us.

"We didn't do anything wrong, all we did was kiss." I pointed out to her moving my hands from around Justin's neck.

"Actually young lady I saw you guys the whole time so I know what was going on." she smiled smugly at me and I blushed deeper and thought about her creepy words.

"So you were watching us make out?" I asked her raising an eyebrow and crawling out from underneath Justin to stand up with my hands on my hips.

She opened her mouth to say something but closed it and made a hmph noise and walked away with her daughter.

I smile triumphantly at her retreating back.

"Ready to leave?" Justin asked me smiling.

I nodded and he walked in front of me. I put a hand on his shoulder and jumped on his back, he chuckled and rolled his eyes but carried me anyway.

I wrapped my arms and legs around tighter around him as he started to walk down the path.

We went over to his car and got in. He held my hand as he drove and I smiled.

It was a silent ride but it wasn't awkward. It was more of a comforting silence. We got to my house and most of the lights were off.

Thankfully, Jessica left the downstairs lights on for me. Justin walked me up to the front door and I smiled at him and he kissed my check for good night.

I watched him walk to his car before getting inside and going upstairs. I took a shower, brushed my teeth and combed out my wet hair before putting it up in a bun.

I walked out of my bathroom and layed down in my bed. My wrist was fine so I knew I didn't sprain it.

I looked up to the ceiling and smiled remembering everything that happened to me during the day.

I closed my eyes and something popped into my mind. I opened my eyes wide, scared and not believing it.

My conscience said it again and I disagreed back. I was going crazy, talking to myself.

It's true, my conscience whispered to me.

No, I argued back stubbornly. My mind played images and I sighed leting out a shaky breath and rubbed my face exhausted. My brain was right, no matter how hard I tried to deny it, it was true.

 I don't just like Justin.

I love him.
