Elizabeth was caught up in the way her mother's face moved whilst she spoke, taking in every movement and wrinkle and smile, too caught up to be paying attention to any of the conversation. "What you staring at kid?" Elizabeth gathered herself quickly "sorry mum, I wasn't intending to be rude. I just really want to take in every part of you." Rachel quirked an eyebrow and looked at her daughter quickly before focusing back on the road, "mum? Are you British now?" Elizabeth stuttered a little before shrugging and looking out the passenger window, "there was some British girls at camp, guess I got caught up in the accent. Sorry mom." Rachel smiled at the road both knowing it was meant for the girl, she thought how typical it was that her daughter would come home with a British twang, especially considering where the other half of her family were, shaking those thoughts from her head she turned the conversation light once again.

The car pulled up and Harmony paid little attention to her aunties as they told her to slow down. She ran up the path and through the open door, the first room she entered was the study and she smiled nervously at the back of the person she assumed was her auntie Mercedes. "Hey Cedes." The woman turned in her chair and smiled welcomingly at the newcomer, "hey short stuff! How was camp?" Harmony was about to answer and share everything with her when a voice drifted from outside the room, "Elizabeth?" Harmony was convinced the world stopped, the voice was unknown but so familiar she bit her lip and shrugged at her auntie who gestured for her to leave the room.

Leaving the room Harmony was met with the staircase it was long but no distance seemed to matter anymore as the moment Harmony had waited for, for the longest time was here and she looking up at the woman who gave her the blonde hair she always asked about, the dimple in her cheek and the appetite her mother had always bugged her for.

Harmony walked slowly up some steps, Quinn doing the same both meeting halfway and embracing into a long waited hug, longer for one than the other. "Elizabeth you have gotten so big." Quinn pulled back and took her daughter in "you cut your hair? And pierced your eyes! God, don't tell me I need to check for secret tattoos". Harmony giggled and threw herself back into her mother's arms, revelling in her smell. "What are you doing?" "Just smelling mum. I want to remember your smell forever".

Rachel laughed as she held her wife who was snuggling into her shoulder and sniffing her. "What you doing my darling?" "Smelling! You keep leaving me for weeks at a time I need to enjoy this moment".

Elizabeth waited for her mother as she pulled her bag out of the back of the jeep. "Listen kid, some things have changed since you've been gone and we've gotta talk them over" Elizabeth paid her mom no mind as she looked up at the house they were in front of. It was a proper farm house, the girl wanted to take more of it in but was instead distracted by the three men waving at her from the porch. "Yo shorty!! Get your self up here now!" Elizabeth smiled at the man with the Mohawk and made her way to the porch steps, noticing how her mother was giggling at her from behind.

"Hey uncles! I didn't expect you to all be here." Harmony had told Elizabeth that it was rare nowadays that all uncles were together at once, especially with them all having so much going on. Their Uncle Sam lived at the farmhouse on the other side of the vineyard so he was around a lot but the other two traveled for work and being so far out of any city was rare for them. Finn and Puck hugged her together at once, she noticed how her other uncle stayed back, eyeing her skeptically. "Everything okay?" Elizabeth asked and her uncle nodded "of course. Just taking you in. Camp has definitely made you different, I just don't know how." Elizabeth swallowed nervously and smiled awkwardly at her blonde uncle, she thought about how similar their hair colour was, she could easily be mistaken for his daughter.

"Har, I'll be back in a few just chill with your uncles for a moment? I've gotta take care of something." Elizabeth looked at her mother, slightly disheartened. "Hey munchkin. I'll be back before you know it. Now take your bag in and start your washing." Elizabeth sighed and nodded, "cmon girl, we can give you a hand". She turned and watched her mother walk off down the side of the house and wondered what could be so important. Harmony had said their mom always made sure to be around when she was, especially during summer.

"What's so important?" Elizabeth asked, watching from the breakfast bar as Sam placed the last of her washing in the machine. "Listen kid, it ain't our business but, your mom, well. She met someone whilst you were gone." "Yeah, Napas answer to a gold digger." "Puck!" Elizabeth laughed at her uncles before it really sinked in what Sam had said, her mother was dating. "Who?" Puck took a seat next to the girl and nudged their shoulders, "this kid from school. Well, we all knew her but yeah she was..is younger than us. Kitty, reckons she can help the vineyards marketing. Sam was up for it and then well, your mother was more up for it, if you know what I mean."

Elizabeth looked between the men and then past Finn who was stood opposite her, she could see through the doors as her mother sat with a blonde woman in her lap and her face scrunched up at the interaction, that is not the blonde her mother should have in her lap.

"You clearly have a type and it's pathetic!" Rachel sighed, running her hand down her face and making no move to follow Quinn as she stormed off from the living room. She waited a few moments in hopes that perhaps the pregnant lady would calm down but evidently not when she came storming back in. "It should only be me! This.." Quinn gestured at Rachel as she lounged on the couch, raising her eyebrows, "is mine". Rachel smirked, "sweetheart, it's a song. Sure it's about blondes but you're the only girl in this entire world for me, each word is for you". Quinn put her hands on her hips, brushing off Rachel as she reached for her, "I'm not a stripper" "if you was though, it would be you I'd wait for".

"Elizabeth!" Harmony came running from her room and into her mother's office, the woman had asked for a moment alone when her phone rang and Harmony was more than happy to do whatever her mother needed. "Yes?" Quinn smiled sheepishly at her daughter and held the camera she had in her hand up. "Would you mind joining me at the studio? I know it's your first day back but they need me and cedes". "Of course not! I'd love to!" Both smiled at each other and set about getting ready their day.

It didn't take long and Harmony was stood watching her mother at work, her auntie correcting the dress the model was wearing. "Okay Quinn try now." The young girl watched in awe as her mother snapped her camera, Harmony moved to look at the computer display and was amazed by the photos, they were beautiful. "Okay, just like this. Now if no one minds I have a day with my daughter planned." Harmony smiled as her mother gave directions and then took her hand, them both leaving the studio content.

They had decided to walk home since it wasn't a long trip, Harmony deciding now a good time as any to start up a conversation. "Mum. How did you meet mum?". Quinn laughed and ran them across a busy road "we met at high school, she had just moved to the area and joined the glee club. She was amazing, it took me a year to grow enough courage to kiss her. Why the sudden interest?", "I just wanted to know."

"Harmony. This is Kitty." The blonde girl stood smiling with her mother behind her. "Well hello! You're the famous Harmony I've heard so much about" Elizabeth felt her smile fall a little but stuck out her hand anyway, Kitty accepting it. "Hi. My mom has told me nothing about you." Elizabeth took in the way the blondes smile faulted, "can I be excused?" "Excused? Damn so posh. Of course."

Elizabeth ran off into the house and into Harmony's bedroom, going through her backpack she found her cell phone and typed in some numbers, pacing her room as it rung.

"Hello?" The voice was sleepy but Elizabeth didn't care. "Harmony listen! Moms met someone, Kitty something, they're dating. We've gotta speed this up!" Harmony was still sleepy on the other end and found it hard processing what Elizabeth was saying.
"She can't! She doesn't meet people!" "Well she has so we need to speed this up now!"
