The girl gazed at her reflection, her beauty was surely one in a millennium. She was befitting for a villainess. Lucious chocolate locks that cascaded down to her waist and eyes like jewels from the forest, sparkled with an evil glint.

'My features are so different than my last life, I used to have blonde hair and blue eyes... And my features were not as sharp as hers, I had... a more babyface rather than a mature one.' I chuckled at my thought. Making Ophelina look at me with worry.

'This is certainly a big day for her.' I thought.

'Because-'  My inner voice was stopped when someone called her name.

"Lady Safforina? Why are you so dazed?" Oh, it was Ophelina.

"Nothing that you need to be concerned of... Umm" Her hum trailed off and she averted from the girl's stare.

"Ophelina?" The brunette called out to the blonde. Somewhat fidgeting her fingers. Still looking far away.

"Yes?" The blonde answered.

"I have wronged you in so many ways... And I am deeply sorry for any harm I may have caused. It might seem late but it's better than never," I started telling her my apologies.

'Please tell the male lead not to kill me! Please.'

"This might seem startling, I know, I had a deep reflection last night and I wanted to change... For the better. So, please, accept my apologies for the pain I have inflicted upon you, older sister."

Silence. Absolute silence.

"My lady! Of course, I accept your apology," she smiled. "Addressing me as your older sister was already enough." Then the girl proceeds to give the warmest, and purest smile.

If only she hadn't come knocking on the duke's door, then maybe she would have led a normal life. But then again, the reason why she came to his grace was due to her mother was on the brink of death... She needed to ask for help, despite knowing the consequences of her roots.

She's such a good child.

____________

"Safforina?" A voice called out.

I gently placed my fork between the meat and carefully pulled it apart. "Yes, father?" I responded.

The bullshit of a father.

He was so smitten with his first love, Ophelina's mother, that he couldn't help but love Ophelina more. While Safforina, his only legitimate daughter, was left in the shadows of her sister's spotlight. Ironically, it seems that in the game of love, the illegitimate child wins all.

Why would the high and mighty duke embrace the so-called "dirty" blood despite the inevitable backlash and criticisms he would encounter?

'What kind of fuckery is that anyway? Well... Then again, I did make him like that.' I laughed inwardly. 'Seems like my plot was way shittier than I expected.'

"Have you been feeling well? I heard from Ophelina that you recently apologized to her?" The man asked.

"Well... Yes actually... Believe it or not, I recently had a deep reflection upon myself, and I want to change for the better" I said with the sweetest smile I could plaster.

"Well... I glad you finally came to your senses, Saffor-" His sentence was cut off after

A loud bang.
