Lilly's POV
As I guide back the new girl to her friends, she stops and looks me dead in the eyes.
"Thank you." The girl says in the most sincere voice I've ever heard and I don't even know how to respond because the few other times I've done this to other girls (because Mikey is a complete asshole) they just call me a dyke and drunkenly walk off.
I just stare.
"I-" I can't even form a response. I can feel the blood rush to my cheeks but thank fucking god it's dark that this party.
"I-it's no problem." I don't know what else to say and walk off to leave. This party is ending any way.

The weekend flies by and it's Monday now.
"Fuckkkkkkkk." I groan as I reluctantly get up from my messy bed to go to the hellhole known as school. I already woke up late.
I get dress and grab my skateboard and backpack. I also grab a un-toasted toasting waffle and leave in a semi-rush.
I skateboard to school and once I arrive I head into the hellhole, everyone is already inside.
I get to my locker and take out the necessary books for the first half of the day then head to math. Once I get there, I bump into someone.
"Fuck." I grab my math book and head to my seat as the girl I bumped into picks up her stuff that fell.
'Wait, that's Paige. Didn't I help her with...' I don't bother finishing the thought because, one, I'm too tired. And two, Mikey was a dick and Paige already knows what happens I think.
I fell asleep during one of Mr Turners famous long ass lectures but I'm woken up by the sudden noise of something hitting my desk.
Anger boils up in my as some of the surrounding students laugh as Mr Turner walks away from my desk. 'That asshole. This is the first class of the day on Monday no less.' I think as I start to wake back up.
"Give me a fucking break." I mumble as I turn to the page of the math work book. I notice that Paige is working through with ease and I can't even do the second question.
'Fuck. I should probably go to the shitty tutoring.' I reluctantly think as I continue to struggle with answering the questions, I don't even understand them.

Paige's POV
It's now after school on Tuesday and I wait in the library for Lilly.
'She's probably not gonna show up again.' I think as I scroll through social media, seeing some of my friends old posts.
I hear the door of the silent library open and I perk my head up and see Lilly.
'WAIT SHE SHOWED UP?!' I internally scream as I look at the girl.
The shorter walks over and puts her bag down with a groan.
"Hi. I didn't know that you would show today." I say as I pull out some math sheets and the oversized book from my bag.
"Neither did I. Can we just get this over with?" The brunette asks with an annoyed tone.
"Yeah sure. So what do you struggle with the most?" I ask with a reassuring smile. All I get as a response is a low mumble.
'Sorry?"
"Everything." The shorter brunette states in slightly louder mumble.
"Oh. That's ok. Let's start out with some linear equations. Those are relatively easy." I say with the same reassuring smile my dad always has, not daring to shame the smaller girl abilities because who am I to judge when I can't do much out side of academics besides softball.
"Alright then." I get a response and start explaining how to do linear equations.
