Chapter 19

Lilly's POV

After having a quick talk with Paige, I walked home. Rethinking everything I said, and how stupid I must've sounded. 'God I'm falling for her aren't I?' is the only thought in my mind.

However, day passed and it's now night. I'm actually doing homework and Mika texts me asking how I'm doing. I reply saying that I'm good and that I'm doing homework and I get a thumbs up as a response.

I fall asleep while doing my homework and pass out on my desk.

Hours go by and apparently my alarm has been blared next to my ear drums for the past 45 minutes. Shocking, I know but a being a heavy sleeper means you are a very heavy sleeper.

I reluctantly get up for school. There was a day off on Monday because of random national holiday so today was Tuesday and I had tutoring.

My heart skipped a beat.

'I'm supposed to have tutoring with Paige today.' The thought of it consumes my mind.

The school day passes by uneventfully and I head to library to get smarter by my tutor Paige.

Once I open the door, I see Paige's head perk up when she hears the door and smiles at me. She had everything laid out for what we were currently doing in Math class.

Once I'm settled, Paige start to explain everything in detail but in a way that I could understand. She was so passionate about helping me out.

As she explains some of the slightly more complicated parts of Algebra, I take notes here and there, solve some problems with a little help but mostly on my own.

Once I get to a hard question, I pause not sure how to work it out or answer. Paige notices this and moves her seat closer to my own seat and starts explaining. I try to focus but I can't stop thinking about her hair, her scent, her clothes, her everything.

Before I could even think, I blurt something out.

"Want to come over to my house once your done tutoring my dumb ass?"

"..."

When Paige doesn't respond, my brain flicks to panic mode.

"It's fine if you don't want to, I understand that your probably busy with homework or helping your dad out or som-" My rambling gets cut off by a giggle that escaped from Paige.

"Of course I'll go over Lilly. I'll text my dad saying that I'm heading over to yours." Paige says with a reassuring smile then continues. "He'll probably think I'm going to hook up with you or something."

I start laughing, gasping for air and so does Paige.

After 10 more minutes of tutoring, we pack up the sheets of paper and the two math books. Once we're done packing up and Paige texts her dad telling him that she's heading to my house, we walk out of the school. Well Paige walks while I skate beside her.

It's about a 30 minute walk to my house.

Once we're inside, we play video games for a bit then eat some snacks and all this takes place over the course of an hour and a half.

Paige has to go but before she does, we have a conversation at my door.

"You sure your ready for the math test tomorrow Lilly?" Paige asks me with a slightly concerned look in her eyes.

"Yeah definitely. You helped me catch up ok everything so I should be good." I say with a overly confident joking smile.

Before Paige leaves, she turns around and gives me a reassuring and says,

"I'm sure you'll do great."

After Paige says this, she plants a quick kiss on my cheek and walks away.

I stand there speechless.

"Woah"
