Echo yawned awakening from her slumber, it had been quite awhile since being sick and hadn’t seen Ed since before that. She wondered if he finally got sick of her and moved on to better things, maybe feasting on other’s dreams, or maybe he finally became a true incubus and is now having intercourse with so much better looking women. Although Echo blinked remembering that isn’t exactly something to be jealous over.

“What’s wrong with me?”

“Nothing is wrong with you, now get up” Andrew entered her room while throwing a damp towel at her, “You’re late for school.”

Echo threw the towel back at him, “Disgusting!” She paused, “Why didn’t you wake me up earlier!?”

“I did” He spoke while watching her scramble around on her floor collecting her things, “But you just kept going back to sleep.”

“Stupid!” She stopped and ran out of her bedroom with her things into the bathroom to quickly get ready. Once in the bathroom she quickly brushed her hair then stripped herself from her pajamas then slipped on black skinny jeans and a loose white shirt with the neckline slightly falling over her left shoulder.

“Alex said he would drive you.” Andrew said while barging into the bathroom getting his shirt from the floor, after a minute he lifted the shirt to his nose then pondered, “Smells okay.”

Echo grunted in disgust, “Men.” She muttered while he slipped on the shirt then grinned wiggling his eyebrows.

“See ya.” With that he was gone leaving Echo in peace.

She was just outside of Mr. Dyus’ room with the pink pass in her hand, but after opening the door she blinked noticing the beady glare from him.

“Welcome to class, Euthiski.” He grunted taking the pass from her hand examining the paper then waved her away, so she walked to her seat to find Gerade had the slightest of bags under his eyes.

“What?” He muttered over to her noticing her gaze.

“Tired?” She whispered actually feeling slightly sympathetic but blinked when she only got a nod, so she pulled out her notebook and just decided to doodle the rest of the class time.

“What are you drawing?” A voice entered her ears so she glanced up to see Gerade just watching her being civilized for once.

“I don’t know, but doodling.” Echo replied and blinked glancing up to see it wasn’t Gerade who was talking to her, but Mr. Dyus.

“Just . . .doodling?” He looked extremely pissed so she just sighed and began to collect her things knowing she was going to be sent to the office, “Good choice.” Picking up her things, she walked out of the room with her head down feeling a hole at her stomach. This would be the second time this year that she would be going to the office; once in the beginning of the year, and now nearly at the end of November. Soon it would be December, holding the longest, prettiest, and annoying season. Winter; Echo enjoyed Winter in the beginning like everything else, but she enjoyed Spring the most since it held the most beautiful weather.

“May I help you?” A women questioned looking curious about Echo entering Student Services.

“Um, I was sent down here by Mr. Dyus-”

“Another one? I swear that man needs to get fired, he’s been sending students down here so often it’s getting ridiculous.”

“Um?” Echo had no idea how to respond to that little rant.

“Oh, I’m sorry” After looking at the name tag, Echo saw the women was Mrs. Kirk, “Please ignore that.”

“Okay?”
