Don't judge an agel by the color of their wings.

My first hit of the night sent the guy flying across the ring. Adrenaline rushed to my head in the sweetest way possible. He fought back almost immediately with a hit that I sidestepped with millimeters of space. "You're good," an instructor told me.

"It's fight or flight in the real world. I was taught to fight 'til the end," I said as I threw another punch at my opponent. He grunted and right hooked me. I grasped my jaw, moving it as I side kicked him.

"Jesus Christ," Another guy said, "Look at her go." Everyone in the gym at this point was watching my fight.

With only a couple hundred members, the gym in Forks was very quiet. I wasn't used to all of the empty space. In my realm, every gym was full. That's why I used a private one.

"Is that Lucifer?" A voice I could only know as Jasper's asked. I froze in my place for half a beat. What the fuck are they doing here. It's a fucking human gym.

"Wonder what has her so mad," Rosalie said. I clocked my opponent in his right jaw and he fell to the ground.

"Alright Night Quill that's enough," An instructor said and I hopped out of the ring. They Cullens were watching me with confusion. I turned away from them with a wince. Two cold hands were on my shoulders in an instant. I looked up at no other than Carlisle.

"Are you hurt?" He asked with worry in his eyes. I stayed silent and he looked me over. "Lucifer. Are. You. Hurt." He said through clenched teeth. It was meant to be a question but the way he said it, it was a command.

Fuck he's turning me on. He's so fucking hot when he's stern. My breath slowed and I turned away from him. His grip moved to my wrist. "Carlisle we shouldn't be talking," I hissed and he shook his head.

"Don't fucking say that. You talk to every other man in town that is older than you. What's so different about me?" My entire body was warmer than it was supposed to be.

"Fuck," I murmured. He looked me dead in the eye and wouldn't blink. "Close your eyes for a moment Carlisle," his eyebrows came together but he obeyed. When he opened his eyes again they were blue. I smiled and he shook his head

"Don't think I giving our eye colors back makes me any less mad at you," He said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Didn't plan on it," I replied with an innocent tone. "I'm just an innocent little angel," He laughed and turned his head.

"You're anything but that Lucifer," He murmured. I didn't know if that was meant for me to hear or not. I gave him a small smile before throwing an oversized shirt over my sports bra. I took a drink of water and waved to the Cullens before walking out of the gym.

As I walked up to my father's new house I looked around. White house, lots of statues, and a fucking water fountain. Our family as statues stood in the middle of it all. My father and brothers were made out of gold while I was made out of the darkest obsidian I've ever seen in the mortal realm. We were all in our true forms. My father and brothers were smiling and holding crucifixes while I had a pitchfork.

I shook my head and knocked on the door. My father answered it in a Hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts. At this point he looked more like Poseidon than himself. He wore a confused expression, "Why would you want to do that?"

I sighed, "Father I may not be as 'pure' and 'holy' as every other angel you've created but I'm not a complete monster. I'm doing this because a friend misses someone who was gone from his life too soon. She only got two years in this realm father,"

"Some people don't even get that much," he said gruffly, "Why should I give her a second chance?"

"Daddy please," I murmured. His eyes softened. I hadn't called him that since I was six.

"On one condition," I looked up at with newfound hope, "You complete the soulmate bond with Carlisle."

My eyebrows furrowed together. Why would he want that? To complete the mate bond, you need to sleep together. "Father," he looked at me with surprise at my sudden joking tone, "I didn't think you wanted me to be a slut."

He rolled his eyes, "Do it or Edward's daughter will never see the light of day again." I rolled my eyes and walked away from the house.

I shut the door to my bedroom and sat down on the ground. I brought out a crate of files and started to go through them. And then I found it. Katherine Elizabeth Mason. An angel folder.

I looked through it carefully. There wasn't much considering that she died at two but what there was, it was just extraordinary. She was the most beautiful and amazing little girl I've ever come across. I smiled softly and got up. I slipped off my sneakers and laid down on my bed. I pulled off my shirt and released my wings. They shook themselves out and feathers were t everywhere.

There was a soft knock on my door and I sighed. "Who is it?" I called and heard a laugh.

"Carlisle. I promise you I come in peace," I laughed and opened the door with a flick of my finger. Carlisle walked in and shut the door. His breath hitched when he saw my wings. I rested my chin on my bed. "Brought wine as a peace offering but Maze took it," he said as he sat down. I laughed and sat up.

I looked at him. His eyes were wide and icy. I laughed and said, "Like what you see?"

He shrugged, "Maybe." I laughed.

"Mmmm..." I hummed and moved closer to him. He froze and focused his attention to my wings.

"You're beautiful Lucifer," He murmured and I laughed.

"I'm far from beautiful," I murmured. Carlisle shook his head and I pressed a hand to his chest. The sweater he was wearing was so fucking soft. I grasped a ball of it in my hand and pulled him towards me. This wasn't about getting Katherine back. This was about us.

He leaned in and pressed his lips onto mine with bruising force. My wings wrapped themselves around us and I laughed. It was just the bond trying to get us closer.

I pulled back, "I'm sorry my wings have a mind of their own." He laughed and ran his fingers through the rough black and navy feathers. "I love your eyes," I murmured.

He nodded, "Look what we found out we can do." He changed them back to amber from blue and blue again.

I laughed and ran my hand down his chest, "I did that so Emmett can scare people on Halloween."

He laughed, "That's exactly what he said he was going to do."

I smiled and kissed him again.
