The Fallen Angel

Here's the thing about skping chapters.

You can't skip chapters in life. You have to read every single gruesome word on the page. Every character that dies, every failed relationship. I used to think I could just ignore everything I didn't like about my life. But now I realize I can't. Life is a long ass book and sometimes you just have to read the words on the page. Sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph. And eventually everything will be okay.

My life has been turned upside down and I can't do anything to get it back to how it was. I can go back as many chapters as I want but in the end, I'm still on this one.

The past is the past for a reason. I've done some awful things in my past that I'm not proud of but here I am. Still standing. Learning from my past mistakes.

We can only guess what the future holds for us. My father had a plan for each and every one of us. And if he wanted us to skip chapters, he wouldn't have made life a gamble. We are all still in the game. Bet on your future. Make all the bad decisions you want know. Because being older doesn't make you wise, having lived through journeys makes us both wise and stronger.

I lost someone close to me today. And I will miss her forever. She was the best person I had ever been able to be with. Most people see me and don't take a chance on me. Others see the good, even if it's barely there. These people have created a loving environment for me but I leave when it gets hard. It's a bad habit— I know that. But if I'm the first one to leave, I'm the last l e to get hurt.
