OCTOBER 8, 1966

FELICITY'S TRUCK HALTS IN FRONT OF THE CURTIS' HOME, with Sodapop's present in one hand and her keys in the other. She could hear the rowdy home from outside. The curtains showed the figures of everyone in the home- dancing or standing with others.

Felicity caught a glimpse of a few guys standing on the porch. All eyes were on her as she stepped foot onto the wooden steps.

"Hey blondie." One called.

"Care to join us out here, we'll be in there in a sec." Another smirked.

Felicity faked her laugh, "I have to pass on that, thank you though."

"Suit yourself." The first one mumbled before inhaling his cigarette.

Felicity was surprised by how easy they let her go, they were nothing like Simon who was too pestering. When she had walked past them, they ignored her like nothing had just happened, and Felicity liked it.

The whole house was jammed and loud. Every crevice of the room had someone or something standing on it. She noticed Johnny and Ponyboy were nowhere to be seen, she figured they went to go hangout in Ponyboy and Sodapop's room to avoid the drinkers.

Felicity moves around in the house to search for Sodapop who turned out to be hammered by the dining table, surrounded by his friends who cheered him on while he downed some shots. It was all supervised by Darry who was drunkenly laughing by the wall with his beer in his hand. First time she had seen bith Darry and Sodapop drunk.

A hand lands on her shoulder, making her flinch. Felicity looked behind her to see Steve Randle with his toothy grin.

"Felicity, didn't think you'd make it!" Felicity blinks rapidly at his breath.

"Wouldn't miss Sodapop's 17th birthday for the world." She sarcastically said.

"Well good because he only turns 17 once!" Steve laughed in her face.

"Good seeing you too, Steve." Felicity patted his hand on her shoulder before walking away from him.

There was no one she knew in the house other then the Shepherds but they weren't close with her. Felicity was alone in the house pretty much. That was until she heard a few hollers with her name in it.

"Felicity, come join us!" Sodapop called over.

She looked over by the living room which was much worse as it a bunch of nobodies to her. She looked back at Sodapop before heading over to the table, a few cheers came from others.

"Alright, just a few shots and you'll be out on your way!" Sodapop instructed.

"Oh Soda, I don't drink." Felicity denied the drinks.

"Live loose a little, Felly belly, it's just-" Two-bit paused to count the cups, "five shots!"

She picked up the shot, looking into it.

"What's in it?"

"Only the best Jim Beam could make!" Two-bit danced with the bottle in his hand.
