OCTOBER 12, 1966

FELICITY FEELS A HEAVY FEELING IN HER BLADDER, the feeling that made her want to pull over to the side of the road and just let it go. However, like the decent woman she was— she held it in until the next stop.

Her car speeds into the DX, nearly running over Steve who was trying to check the gas pumps. She parked the car in front of the miniature convenience store that was currently in the hands of Sodapop who was at the cashier.

"Bathroom!" Felicity shrieks as she runs inside.

"Vacant." Sodapop casually pointed to the opposite side of the room as if it wasn't the first time he's been asked.

"Thank you!" She yells while running through the snack aisle.

Steve furiously storms in.

"Miss bladder the size of a grain of rice nearly ran me over in the parking lot!"

Sodapop laughed and shook his head, "She's in the bathroom right now, she's all yours when she's out."

They hear the sound of flushing come from the bathroom, soon the faucet running added onto the soundtrack of the DX. Felicity comes out with a relieved smile on her face.

"Never felt any better." Felicity says, coming up to the two boys then looked at Steve who was giving her the death stare. "Oh hi, Steve."

"Yeah, hi." He aggressively mocked her. "What, did you get your license yesterday or something?! I know damn well they don't teach you how to run people over!"

Felicity and Sodapop shared a look while biting back their laughter.

"You're lucky to be alive, I could've ran you over if I wanted to."

"For what, what did I do to you that makes you want to run me over with your car?!" Steve rambled on.

Felicity snickered as she picked herself up, hopping onto the counter in front of Sodapop who was busy counting the cash in the register. Her feet dangled in the air, purposely kicking Steve who fought like a cat against her legs.

"Heard Dally was finally growing on you." Sodapop started.

Her face furrowed and head was now turned to him, "Where'd you get that from, your ass?"

"Pony told me about how he saw y0u two walk into lunch together and wait in line, you were smiling too." Sodapop exaggerated her emotions from that day.

Steve gave her a smug look, which told Felicity that was going to butt in as much as he could into this topic of discussion.

"Whitlock's got a crush on Dal, huh?"

"Don't you have a girlfriend to worry about?" Felicity retorted, also an attempt to change the subject between them.

"Alright you two." Sodapop steps in. "It's okay to have a crush but this is Dally, he'll hurt you, Felicity."

"Oh my god, I don't have a crush on Dallas!" She cried out loud.

Sodapop threw his hands up in the air, "Well whatever it is, I'm just trying to warn you."

Just then, Veronica walks into the DX with her eyes on all three of them who were staring right back at her. It was at that moment that she took Felicity's hand and dragged her away from Steve and Sodapop.

"God, where have you been?" She asked. "You've been ignoring my calls and me, I've had the worst week of my life."

"I've been busy." Felicity lies with a shrug to the shoulders.

She watched Veronica prepare herself a cup of coffee, "Okay well I've had no one to talk to, it's been awful, Felicity. I was supposed to go out with Jack Burnham on Saturday night but he was a no-show. So, I went to your house and your parents said you weren't home, thank you for that."

"Like I said, I've just been busy." She repeated.

They walk back to the counter where Veronica was paying for her coffee.

"What has gotten into you, you've just been ignoring me all together." Veronica pointed out. "Not only that but you've been out and about with Dallas Winston, what about me? I'm still your friend."

Felicity's chest hitched, she was about to explode.

"It's like you're not even listening." Veronica scoffed as she handed Sodapop a dollar for the cup.

"I'm just so sick and tired of having to be the one that has to listen to you while I don't even get to talk about my fucking day!" Felicity snapped. "You got stood up, that really sucks but I got groped and punched in the same night almost two weeks ago because I didn't want to follow a man to his car. The time I showed up with a black eye, not once did you check up on me. I'm sick and tired of you and the world you think I revolve around you, I'm done."

Veronica looked at Felicity with disgust and hatred. Sodapop and Steve had their jaws dropped when they saw Felicity at her breaking point.

"Oh fuck you." She snarled.

Felicity was about to turn away but gasps at a burning sensation hit her face, the hot liquid dripping down to her shirt. The empty cup was thrown onto the ground and a shove to her shoulder. Sodapop immediately walks over with a clean towel for her.

She uses her thumb to get out wipe the corners of her eyes.

"Didn't think she'd do that." She tries to make a joke at her situation.

"I'm surprised at how well you took that splash, did you not feel the burn?" Steve asked while helping wipe away the coffee with the towel he had on him.

"Let's just say guys need to start warming up the coffees better, that's what." Felicity implied, her eyes blinking to kill the burning sensation.

"At least that's over with."
