OCTOBER 31, 1966

THE SPOOKIEST DAY OF THE YEAR HAD ARRIVED. Felicity wanted to go out and get some candy but she had no one to go with as Veronica was no longer in the picture, she was left with sitting in the living room with her homework and a bowl full of candy that her mother had purchased for the children. It might've been the worst Halloween she's had yet, besides the time Dallas threw an egg at her during the Halloween of 1963.

She heard her parents running around the house with many questions they targeted towards each other. Rosemary and Billy were attending a party of one of their close friends, Felicity feared that it was going to be a party that Billy was break his sobriety streak, it wouldn't be a surprise if he did though.

Rosemary enters the living room, standing in front of the television that her daughter was watching while solving equations in her book. Felicity's eyes looked up to see the witch putting on her left earring.

"The kids stop coming around 10 so you don't have to worry about seeing them all night." Rosemary said.

"And what if they do, do I just turn off all the lights in the house and wish for the best?" Her daughter sarcastically listed.

"That's exactly what you do." Rosemary smiled.

Billy was last to come out, he was a cowboy with not much on besides a hat and jeans that had tucked in his buttoned flannel. They didn't have any theme going on with their costumes but it wasn't like they were going to go out in a couples costume, they were not all about that.

It was all three of the Whitlock family members that were in the living room. Felicity did nit enjoy it but had to hide behind her discomfort.

"Please make sure no teenagers egg our house this year, it was a pain in my ass trying to get that cleaned." Rosemary complained.

Dallas.

"I'll just clean it if they do." Felicity offered. "Now go, go have fun."

Felicity got off of the couch and was now pushing her parents towards the door.

"Be safe, okay?" Rosemary keeps going with her anxious mother mindset.

"I will, bye." Felicity waves them off before shutting the door.

The hours were never ending for Felicity who had to go back and forth between passing out candy and finishing her homework. It wasn't heavy duty but it was sure something she did not enjoy at all, especially all the scrawny kids with attitude.

Multiple knocks at once hit the door of the Whitlock's. Felicity picks herself up from her position on the couch, walking over to the door with the bowl in her hand and a fake smile on her face.

"Trick or treat!" The group of four boys yell in unison.

"Oh wow, you all cleaned up nicely." She complimented while putting a handful of candy into their pillow cases.

She caught Batman looking at her up and down.

"Aren't you a little too young to be doing that, Batman?" Felicity puts a hand on her hip and looks him down.

"I'll be 18 in another 10 years, call me." Batman winked at her.

Where are their parents?

"Nice going, Phineas." One of his friends pushed him.

"Lady was smoking!" This Phineas defended his actions.

Felicity rolled her eyes before closing the door. She placed the candy back on the table, laying back down on the couch where she kept her eyes on the television that was rolling The Days of Our Lives.

Her eyelids felt heavy every minute that passed but she couldn't fall asleep yet, it wasn't 10 yet and she could still hear children in the neighborhood. Felicity was fighting the urge to fall asleep. Unfortunately, there was another knock at her door, making Felicity roll off of the couch and take the candy with her. However, this person was knocking repeatedly.

"One second!" She shouted in hopes this person heard.

They did not take her call and continued to knock obnoxiously. Felicity was starting to get pissed, she was going to freak out on whoever was at her door. She aggressively grabbed the door knob and swung the door open, a gush of wind hits her and her hair blew backwards.

It was Dallas leaning against the doorframe of the home, her heart was relieved.

"Dally, aren't you supposed to go drinking with your goons or something?" Felicity sneered.

"Aren't you supposed to go trick or treating, Fiz?" He returned the question.

A child comes running up to the house, it was Frankenstein. Felicity takes her attention away from Dallas to greet the child.

"Well hello, aren't you cute?" She lowered herself to match the kid who looked to be about three or four.

"What do you say, Milly?" The child's mother reminds them from the other end of the pathway.

"Twick or-" they hesitated.

"It's treat, you twit." Dallas added for him.

They looked up at Dallas, not knowing what the insult had meant so they laughed. Dallas face showed revulsion.

"Here you go." Felicity smiled at Frankenstein.

"Thank you!" They said in excitement.

Felicity watched them run back to their mother who was waving a thank you at Felicity. She loved kids, she dreamt a few times about having her own, maybe two. Her dream was to have a boy and a girl, and she promised those kids that she'd never treat them the way her parents did.

She stood back up to face Dallas who witnessed the whole thing. They share a long stare into each other's eyes but there was no tension in them, it was pure admiration for both.

"You look better down there." He snarked.

There was a hard slap on his chest by Felicity.

She brings him inside where he gets the chance to look around the place, it was small but yet big enough for this family of three. Felicity plops down on the couch where she was before, Dallas picked her legs up and dropped them on his lap while next to her body.

"Couldn't stop thinking about the other night." Dallas said with his fingers grazing her legs.

"What about the other night?" She challenged, attempting to look clueless.

"You know what I'm talking about." His eyes darted at her and his eyebrows furrowed.

"No, describe it to me." Felicity denied.

"Don't act dumb, you how I hate when people act dumb."

Felicity chuckled at his demeanor.

"Your folks ain't home, why don't we go for round two? It'll be better." Dallas promised.

Felicity sat up, "Thanks but not tonight, kids coming to the house is throwing me off."

"Loser."

"Dally."

"All jokes, hun."

Hun.

That was new.
