"How could you Dad!? I told you that we are not ready to have kids! Nor do I have any plans on splitting ways with P' Ohm? Why did you have to do this to me?" Fluke yelled at his father.

This was the first time in his life that he had ever raised his voice against his father. His father had crossed all his limits this time.

When Ja first told him about the gene combination experiment, he had been eccentric. If he could have a child with Ohm, a child that has both their genetics, there was nothing more he could ask for.

He also funded the experiment and related research as he felt that the success of the experiment would be a blessing to all those homosexual couples out there who want kids on their own.

Ohm also had the same reaction and actively cooperated in giving their samples for the experiment.

However, due to some legal issues and protests that claimed it to be against human rights, the experiment was abandoned halfway and both of them had forgotten about the matter.

Fluke never imagined that Thas would be so ardent in making his decision come true that he would use the sample his son had given to the lab to inseminate a surrogate artificially. The surrogate was successfully impregnated.

The news came as a total shocker to Fluke. He had flown all the way to Georgia, where his parents and surrogate were to confront his dad.

"I already told you that I want a grandchild and I don't want it to be the one the vixen gives birth to," Thas had his back facing Fluke, his face scrunching.

Fluke glared at his father. It was true that he didn't want Fame to bear his children as Ohm was uncomfortable with it, but that didn't mean he was willing to have a baby with someone else just like that. He and Ohm were yet to announce their relationship, a were very far from getting engaged.

As far as he knew, Ohm had his own plans that didn't include them getting married for another two years. Such a plan was completely acceptable to him as he felt that marriage was a huge step in their lives and that taking this step would change their lives forever. He wasn't in a hurry to get married, nor did he think Ohm was.

He was sure that if they were to get married, the whole media and the entertainment industry would be shaken. Especially since Ohm had never shown any 'signs' of being gay. Marrying a guy would affect his career greatly. Keeping the marriage under wraps would be a difficult task as well, given how famous both of them were.

Fluke knew that, according to the agreement between Ohm and his family, he was allowed to stay in the entertainment industry for only a few more years. After those years he would have to retire from the entertainment industry and take on the role as the head of the Ritprasert family.

Ohm had once told Fluke about his idea of getting married after retirement. He didn't want to garner attention to his married life with Fluke. The idea didn't seem wrong to Fluke and he had agreed to that.

Fluke didn't want to have kids before the marriage as both he and his boyfriend would be more focused on their respective careers. The arrival of the child might change the whole dynamics between them.

"It doesn't matter what you want, Dad. Having a child is a huge decision and it should be my and my boyfriend's decision as to when we are going to have it. Not yours. It's our lives." Fluke argued.

"You promised that you would never find a boyfriend but you did. Did I say anything? All these years you have been going around the world as a damn entertainer and I let you be, Fluke. Why can't you at least give into one wish of mine?" Thas gritted his teeth.

"One wish?" Fluke laughed in self-mockery. "Do you think that this is your single wish? This wish of yours is going to change everything in my life. Every aspect of my life is going to change. You know that well."

"Your life will not be affected. You just have to move back to the States with us."

"Move back to the States? Do you know what you are talking about, Dad? Do you even hear yourself?" Fluke was so dumbfounded.

Moving back to the States would mean that he would have to leave everything he has in Thailand behind, his career, his friends, and most importantly, his relationship.

"Dad, you~"

BAM

"DAD!" Fluke screamed as he saw his father collapse to the floor. He ran towards him. "Dad! Dad!" He patted his father's cheeks in an attempt to wake him up but there was no response.

An obnoxious feeling clouded his mind as he held his father in his arms. His father looked fragile as if he had lost a ton of weight since they met the last time.

Fluke pressed the buzzer on his father's study table.

August, Thas's secretary, rushed in as soon as the buzzer sound was heard.

"P' August, Dad fainted without a warning. Can you help me move him to the bed? Please call the doctor to check on him too." Fluke said despite the sudden wave of panic he was feeling.

August on the other hand didn't look anxious at all. He made a short call and proceeded to pick up Thas from the floor.

Just as the trio exited the study, two people brought a stretcher. August placed Thas onto the stretcher and it was rolled away to Thas's bedroom which was not far from the study.

"Mr. Fluke, please go outside," The leader of the team of doctors requested.

"Why should I go outside? What's going on here?" Fluke didn't find it normal that so many medical staff were there on such short notice.

Something felt wrong. Really wrong.

Fluke stared at his father's pale face and demanded to know what was happening.

"Khun Fluke, please cooperate. Let the doctors do their job," August requested while dragging Fluke outside the room, and closing the door behind him.

"P' August can you please tell me what happened to Dad? Is there something going on?" Fluke was desperate to find his answers.

"Khun Fluke, I do not have much knowledge in this area. I think you should wait for the doctors to explain to you what happened to Khun Thas." August said and excused himself.

He had to clear Thas's schedule for the day and make arrangements.

Fluke had no choice but to stay there and wait for the doctors to come out.

"Doctor, how is my Dad? What happened to him?" He asked as soon as he saw the doctors walk out of the room.

"I am really sorry, Mr. Fluke. But we don't think that Mr. Thas's body is responding well to the treatment." The doctor answered.

"Treatment? What treatment?" Fluke was clueless.
