The Dark Urge POV:
Astarion looks at me, 'What is it, darling?' He smiles at me and I look at Evelyn, worried. 'What happened to Evelyn, do you know?' Astarion looks and sighs sadly, 'Yeah, but it's only fair she can tell you herself.' Astarion walks away from me to get ready to adventure out with me, Evelyn, Shadowheart. Evelyn get up and hand back Shadowheart's artifact. 'Thank you, Shadowheart,' she smiles at her. Was it genuine, I thought was Gale right? Does she have her emotions back? Because from what I can tell, she's still the same to me. I thought about it and sighed very deeply. If she did have them back, would it be a good thing or a bad thing for her? Then I walk toward Evelyn. 'Hey, bodyguard, can I ask you something?' Evelyn looks up at me with a smile. 'Yes, my lord?' I pull her into a hug. I want to find out for myself, and Evelyn freezes up. 'M-my lord?' I put my hand on the back of her head and hold her close. 'Evelyn, is it true you have your emotions back?' Evelyn rests her head and listens to my heartbeat, finding comfort. 'I don't know, my lord. If one of the emotions makes me choke, then yes.' I cut her off. 'Who made you feel terrified?' She doesn't answer as she tries not to shake. 'My lord, I'm fine. Don't worry about it,' I cut her off again. 'It's okay. Let your guard down. I'm here, we're here, okay?' Evelyn tears up and hugs me close. 'My lord, I don't know what's going on with me. My chest feels empty. I choke when I try to speak. Hells, it hurts,' she begins to cry and holds me tightly. 'Shhh, let it all out, Evelyn. You're safe.' I rub her head. So, Gale wasn't lying. Evelyn has her emotions back. To be honest, I like this side of her. She looks human now. I smile softly and Evelyn stops crying, rubbing her eyes. 'Sorry, my lord.' I look down at her. 'Sorry for what? Being human? Don't be sorry, Evelyn.' I wipe away her tears and smile. 'I've never seen this side of you.' Evelyn holds my hand and she closes her eyes. 'Because I've never felt this, not even in my youth. It makes me feel empty.' Evelyn opens her eyes and lets go of my hand. 'What was that?' I look at her with a smile. 'That's called sad. But why were you terrified before?' I look worried at her, and Evelyn looks away. 'Don't worry about it, my lord. You're safe. That's all that matters to me.' Then Evelyn walks to her camp chest, and Gale walks toward me with a book. 'Here, this might help Evelyn,' Gale smiles happily, and I look at Gale. 'You can give it to her if you want' Gale looks at Evelyn, then me. 'Okay,' Gale walks toward Evelyn.
Evelyn's POV:
Damn it, I felt so embarrassed to let my lord see me like this. These emotions are going to become a nuisance for me. I sigh deeply and hear someone approaching me. I turn around to see Gale. 'Oh, hello Gale,' I look at him softly, and Gale looks worried. 'Are you okay, Evelyn?' I sigh deeply. 'Yes, Gale, I am. I just need to figure out how to control these emotions. To be honest with you, it's annoying and embarrassing.' I look away from him, and Gale chuckles. 'It happens to the best of us, I assure you.' I look at him again. 'Everyone has it?' Gale sighs with a smile. 'Here, this book tells you about various emotions. It might help you,' he hands me a book, and I take it. 'Thank you, Gale.' I hug him closely and sigh softly. Gale smiles as he pats my back. 'You're welcome, hope it helps you.' I pull away from him with a smile. 'Hopefully, to be honest, I don't know what I'm feeling,' I chuckle and look down at the book. 'Well, hopefully the book will tell you.' Gale takes his leave, and I walk towards Shadowheart. 'Hey Shadowheart, want to read a book with me?' I smile and show her the book. Shadowheart smiles softly. 'Sure, give it here. I'll read it to you.' I look at her and chuckle. 'I can read, you know.' Shadowheart takes the book from my hand and pulls me into her arms. 'Did I ask? Now let's see this book,' she chuckles, and I relax in her hold. My back is in front of her, and Shadowheart smiles, her arms in front of me holding up the book. 'Now shall we learn about your emotions?' she giggles. 'Hopefully, at least,' I joke and listen to her read. I catch her saying 'little.' I smile; that was the cutest thing I ever heard. I see the artifact, pick it up, and play with it while Shadowheart reads to me.
-A couple of hours have passed.-
The Dark Urge POV:
Evelyn, Shadowheart, Astarion, and I saw three people crying to the person on top of the gate, 'Let us in!' The gatekeeper responded, 'I can't, Zevlor orders!' Then Zevlor ran in and asked, 'What's going on?' The guy called out, 'Open the damn gate, Zevlor! Goblins are coming!' Zevlor got mad, 'You brought goblins here? Where's the druid?' The guy got mad, 'There's no time, let us in!' The goblins showed up, and one of them shot the gatekeeper, 'Kanon!' Zevlor yelled. The guy looked at the goblins, 'Shit, form a line!' Then a battle started. Evelyn looked at me, 'Do you want to help them, my lord?' I looked at her, 'Are you alright to kill some goblins?' Evelyn smiled happily, 'Yes, my lord!' She ran into the battle, and Shadowheart sighed deeply, 'Your bodyguard really keeps me on my toes.' I looked at Shadowheart with a smile, 'Now you know how I feel.' I chuckled, and then the rest of us fought off the goblins. After the battle was over, Zevlor shouted, 'Come on in, the rest may follow!' I looked up at Zevlor and heard the guy who was shouting at Zevlor, 'Where's that prick?' I looked at Evelyn having fun stabbing the dead goblins. I walked toward her, 'Evelyn, I think they're dead.' I placed my hand on her shoulder, and she looked at me with light in her eyes, catching me off guard. 'Having fun, huh?' I smiled, and she got up and nodded, 'Yeah, it's nice to kill something.' She chuckled, and Shadowheart looked at her worried, 'Let me take a look at you.' Shadowheart examined Evelyn to see if she was hurt. Evelyn sighed softly, 'I'm fine, Shadowheart, I promise.' Shadowheart said, 'You'll tell me if you need healing, right?' Evelyn nodded, 'Yes, I promise.' Shadowheart grabbed Evelyn's hand, 'Good, I don't like seeing you hurt. Now, let's go in.' Shadowheart pulled Evelyn into the grove, and Evelyn smiled softly and walked with Shadowheart. I watched them, chuckling, 'They're getting along nicely, huh?' I looked at Astarion, and Astarion smirked, 'How do you want to bet?' I looked at him confused, 'Bet on what?' Astarion looked at me, 'Are you serious, darling? Bet on them dating?' I looked at Astarion with my eyes wide open, 'Wait, Evelyn and Shadowheart dating? Well, good for them. I never thought Evelyn could love a person, but then again, the tadpole is in her head.' Astarion covered his face, 'Darling, that's not what I meant. I don't know if they are dating, so that's why I want to bet with you.' I looked at Astarion with realization, 'Oh... oh, sorry.' I chuckled, 'Fine, how much?' Astarion smiled, 'Hm, the murderous drow and secretive half-elf. How about two hundred gold?' I looked at him, 'Deal, but I'll bet they are not dating,' I said with a smile. Astarion chuckled, 'Then you're going to lose, my dear. I'm starting to count the extra two hundred gold.' Me and Astarion laughed as Evelyn and Shadowheart were in the grove.
