Norixius POV:

I'm thinking about what Kai said. Evelyn is still controlled. Halsin saw me thinking and walked over to me. 'Hello Norixius,' he smiled, and I looked at Halsin. 'Hello Halsin, is something wrong?' Halsin crossed his arms as he smiled. 'Nothing wrong, but you seem troubled. Are you okay?' I noticed his wrapped shoulder. 'You got hurt?' Halsin looked at his shoulder. 'Oh, yes. I fell on something, but don't worry about that. I'm more concerned about you,' I sighed softly. 'It's Evelyn... I'm scared. What Kai told me, I hope he's wrong... but then again, he can see everything,' Halsin looked worried. 'What did Kai say?' I crossed my arms. 'That she's controlled... I thought... no, he is...' I sighed deeply, and Halsin hugged me to comfort me. 'Maybe Kai means something else, Norixius.' I hugged Halsin back. 'What is it then, Halsin?' Halsin looked at me. 'Wolf told me that she is exhausted. I think Evelyn feels trapped in her own body, like it's not hers.' I teared up. '..She's pushing herself... she doesn't tell me anything... damn it...' Halsin rubbed my back. 'She doesn't want you to worry about her.' I got angry. 'I do get worried! She's my oldest friend that I have! She's too stubborn and reckless, throwing herself into danger every time! She never takes breaks or rests or eats anything! She keeps everything from me... I just don't want to lose her!' I shouted and then I started to cry, covering my face. Halsin, everyone at camp looked at me very worried, and Gale walked over to me. 'Norixius...' Astarion hugged me close, Gale rubbed my shoulder as I was still crying. 'I just... I just want her safe...' Gale looks at me worried, 'Norixius, she will be,' Evelyn got back to camp, and I get aggravated. 'SHE'S NOT, I WANT HER TO STAY HERE, BUT SHE'S TERRIFIED THAT WE'RE GOING TO GET HURT. BUT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS GETTING HURT IS HER. I GET SO DEPRESSED WHEN SHE CRIES, THEN ACT LIKE NOTHING HAPPENS THE NEXT MOMENT! SHE HAS NO TIME TO GRIEVE BECAUSE SHE'S SCARED OF LETTING GO, THINKING SHE'S IN DANGER CONSTANTLY..' Evelyn sighs softly. 'Norixius...' I look at Evelyn quickly. 'Evelyn...I...' I walk to her, and Evelyn looks up at me. 'What's happened, Norixius?' I hug Evelyn very protectively as I start to cry again, and Evelyn hugs me back close. 'Shh, Norixius, what's wrong?' She rubs my back, and still crying deeply, I go down to my knees and hug her waist. Evelyn looks worried. 'Norixius, why are you crying?' She rubs my head, and I look up at her. '...I don't want you to...I...' I get choked up, and Evelyn wipes my tears away. 'Norixius, were you talking like that about me?' I nod. 'I don't want you hurt...I want you to live, Evelyn...I want you to feel safe at camp...I want you to stay at camp...during the night..' Evelyn sighs softly, and she kneels down and hugs me close. 'Norixius, you're always worried about me. I don't feel anything, Norixius, my body--' I got aggravated. 'Yes, yes, I know! But it affects you, Evelyn...you zone out, look lifeless at times, and it scares me. Evelyn, don't you understand...I don't want to lose you...you deserve so much better..' Evelyn remains silent with her head on my shoulder, and I hug her close. 'I'm just...I'm sorry...' Evelyn looks at me. 'Norixius, you won't lose me, I promise you.' Evelyn smiles at me softly as she rubs my cheeks. 'How about this, Norixius? I won't go out in the woods tonight. I can watch over you, making sure you're alright.' I sigh deeply. 'You can hang out with me tonight?' Evelyn nods and hugs me. 'Of course, Norixius, if it makes you feel better.' I hold Evelyn and nod. 'Yes...' I close my eyes.
Eveyln rubs my back. 'Are you going to be okay Norixius?' I nod softly. 'Yes...yes I will.' Evelyn gets up and I join her. 'Sorry, Evelyn.' Evelyn smiles. 'You're fine, Norixius. I should have known you'd be worried when I leave at night, but I'll stay tonight in camp.' I hug her again with my eyes closed. 'I keep telling you, Evelyn...but I'm glad you're staying in camp tonight.' Evelyn rests her head on my chest and listens to my heart. 'I know, Norixius, and I'm sorry to ignore your request, but I just want us safe.' She hugs me back and I rest my head on top of hers. 'We are, Evelyn. Let tonight show you.' Evelyn closes her eyes as she sighs. 'Very well, Norixius, I'll see, but if we have intruders tonight, I'm going back to scouting, deal?' I smile as I sigh in relief. 'Deal.' Evelyn chuckles. 'You're a softie, you know that, Norixius.' I chuckle. 'There's nothing wrong with that, Evelyn. I'm very happy you're staying tonight.' Evelyn opens her eyes. 'I believe it, Norixius.' I look down at her with the brightest smile, and Evelyn looks up at me and chuckles. 'You dork.' I chuckle. 'How dare, I'm not a dork.' Evelyn smiles happily. 'Whatever helps you sleep, Norixius.' I notice Evelyn's smile, and I feel very happy. 'Pfft, you look like a dork, Evelyn, wearing shadow armor..wait, why are you wearing her armor?' Evelyn looks at me with a smile. 'Because I absolutely love her style. Are you judging me, Norixius?' I gasp jokingly. 'Me? Never.' Evelyn shakes her head. 'I'm glad you're feeling better, Norixius.' Evelyn looks at Shadowheart, then at me, as she smiles. 'I'll be with Shadowheart if you need anything else, Norixius.' I let go of Evelyn with a smile. 'I'll keep that in mind. Evelyn?' Evelyn looks up at me. 'Yes, Norixius?' I look at her worried. 'Nothing, I'll be with Astarion, Gale, and Halsin.' Evelyn smiles softly. 'Alright, Norixius, I'll see you later.' Evelyn walks away, and I watch her with a sigh. I look back at them, 'Sorry, Halsin, Gale, and my heart. I was just worried... I didn't mean to shout.' I sigh softly. Astarion walks over to me and then wraps his arms around me. 'It's alright, darling. Are you okay now?' I smile happily. 'Yes, I am. Now that I know Eveyln is going to stay in the camp tonight and maybe she stays in the camp during the night. Now, if tonight proves that she doesn't need to scout.' Astarion smiles. 'Hopefully, she can rest. If you fall asleep, I can keep watch of Eveyln, making sure she won't leave camp.' I look down at Astarion with a smile. 'No need, I trust her. She's always good on deals, she won't leave.' Astarion rubs my face. 'Alright, darling.' I relax in Astarion's hold.
