Chapter Five

I had no clue as to why Laxus had moved to get involved, even going as far as to choose the color of my guild mark without my permission.

But something told me to leave it alone as I focused instead on giving Nab a friendly smile before glancing at the Job Request Board set in front of him with some interest.

Most were to take out some bandits, or thieves, there were a few monster ones, and lastly the easier ones of helping those in the town with simple tasks.

Like organizing a library to doing research or even being a server at 8-island.

The reward money also seemed to vary depending on the type of job with the highest paying one around 400,000 J, which was surprising.

Though it also meant I could start saving up a good nest egg.

"Hello," called out another voice causing me to turn. "Names Jet and this is Droy. We happened to notice you're new to Fairy Tail so wanted to give you a warm welcome."

I did not know whether to laugh aloud or bang my head against the wall as the two known members of Shadow Gear approached me. More so since I knew of their adoration and love concerning Levy McGarden, who I was not in any form outside of looks.

It did not help that I could feel Lupus and Leviathan's amusement through their key's as I gave the two a strained smile. Since both celestial spirits were aware of how I got here through Kronos and how I chose to look this way.

A part of me felt guilty for removing Levy McGarden from the world and replacing her.

"Nice to meet you two," I offered before reaching out for two jobs, one being to help the librarian organize the library and the other for later to help 8-island who were short staffed. "My name's Levy Chang."

I chose to take both of these jobs since both were easy, and would give me a good sum of money, along with starting me off easy.

Mainly considering I did not know how I would fair in a job taking out thieves etc.

Gotta start small and work my way up.

"Leave the poor girl alone you two," ordered Mirajane as she ambled toward us with a gentle smile. "Plus, I thought the two of you were going to go on a job? Also, I can approve those jobs if you show them to me so I can mark them down and call the person to let them know you've decided to take them."

That is right.

There was an actual guild book for jobs that Mirajane oversaw keeping filled in with all jobs currently being done or even completed, it even had jobs that were still listed on the request board as well.

It being something Mirajane took care of.

Which made sense considering she no longer took jobs herself.

"We are," answered Droy with a sheepish smile while I handed over both slips of paper before accepting them back from the smiling barmaid once she was done with them. "Just wanted to make sure we introduced ourselves to the newest member of the guild."

Honestly, a part of me feared Mirajane and her matchmaking ways enough to haul ass out of the guild while she was distracted.

Only to bump into a firm chest and fallback landing on my ass with a wince.

This was great...

"I knew I was devastatingly handsome but not to the point women will literally fall over," laughed a deep raspy voice. "You must be new as well since I haven't seen ya before."

Looking up showed that I had bumped into Bickslow while briefly noticing Evergreen and Freed standing behind him.

Not that either seemed really impressed with me as they barely spared me a glance.
