Gotham
Lady Gotham Medical
Carlisle POV
Carlisle walked through the hospital hallway, greeting some of the Doctors as he walked past them. He was about to turn down one of the hallways when a conversation two of the nurses were having caught his ears.
"Really?" one of the healers asked.
"Yes really, the boy's behavior at the ball was disgraceful." the other replied, adding; "I'm surprised that he didn't get kicked out sooner."
Carlisle watched as the healers disappeared down around the corner as their conversation shifted to a patient of theirs a frown formed on his face, ever since Edward's little outburst at the Ball, people's behaviors towards them had shifted they seemed to watch them more closely as if they were studying/judging their every move. Even the doctors at the hospital were watching him more closely.
It was ridiculous.
"Doctor Cullen." Doctor Min greeted as she quickly walked past him.
"Doctor Min," Carlise replied as he easily caught up with her before asking. "May I ask you a question?".
"It will have to be quick," she replied.
"I've noticed the doctors have been acting differently towards me since the Ball, they seem to be watching me closely."
"That's because they are, now what is your question?"
"Why? It seems very unprofessional."
Doctor Min paused in her walk and looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"You're really asking that question?" she asked, "You and your family are being watched closely because of your actions."
"Our actions?"
"Yes. Your actions. Since you arrived here, three of your children vandalized one of our Lady's statues, they were very lucky that Headmaster Rin didn't look into pressing charges against them something that any other person would have done, you are constantly disrespectful whenever you talk about our Lady's Protectors, your girls have often been heard being rude not only towards some of the girls in their school but also to some of the shopworkers, and now your son not only insults the whole of Gotham but also harassed some of the women at the Ball and placed his hand on a child. Now originally you were given passes seeing as you are Outsiders who moved to Lady Gotham, so it is understandable you wouldn't fully understand the workings of Lady Gotham...but the Ball was the final straw. Until your attitudes improve you will be watched."
"This seems a tad far, Edward was just a little drunk at the..."
"That's no excuse. Now if you excuse me I'm needed at the morgue."
Carlisle stayed where he was for a few seconds before he followed after Doctor Min as she made her way to the morgue, determined to speak more about the situation with her. Doctor Min turned to her left before she opened the door and entered the room that was labeled morgue.
The front part of the morgue was a dimly lit room, with photographs lining the wall of the old morgue's staff giving the room an eerie feeling that you were being watched, at the far end of the room was a wooden desk with papers on top of it, behind the desk were two boards, one of them being a large chalkboard with the morgue's rota written on it, while the other was a simple messaging board with things stuck on it. On the right side of the room, there was a fireplace with a fire lit warming the room, a small table along with a large plush chair and a couch sat in front of it, on top of the table there was a small teapot and a set of mugs ready to be used in case someone wanted a drink, to the left side of the room next to the door which led to the morgue itself there were three large filing cabinets.
