☆━━━HER FEET CARRIED HER hurriedly through the obscure alley, the only sounds that could be heard were her heavy breathing and harsh footsteps on the damp concrete below. Her heart pounded in her chest, feeling as if it might break through the cavity as adrenaline coursed through her veins. It was the only thing that motivated her to keep going.

Grayson O'Neil was running for what seemed to be, her life.

The young girl wore a loose black tank top and a pair of maroon tights to match, feet sporting a pair of black shoes, and her blonde hair was pulled back in a tight French braid. It was not her ideal choice of clothing, but it was the only type that was flexible enough for her to move freely without it getting in her way, and the dark shades and colors helped her blend in with the shadows of the night.

Grayson nearly slipped and fell as she came to a dead-end in the alley and let out a silent curse under her breath. She could hear movement behind her, growing closer quickly. She knew there were only a few seconds before he caught up and finished what he started. She was almost at the checkpoint, and then she'd be home free, safe from this maniac.

She needed to act now, or she'd be up shits creek without a paddle.

The girl was in a world of panic as her gaze scanned the alley wall for an out, and she felt her heart spike at the sight of a fire escape to her right. With a new purpose in her step, she quickly ran for it, scaling up the rusted ladder with a speed she never knew she could harbor. Just as she reached the top, chest heaving, a harsh 'thunk' echoed on the lower level of the fire escape, jarring the whole thing and sending a violent shake up the metal frame.

"Mother fucker!" as if a fire had been lit under her ass, the Grayson gripped the rooftop's ledge, the brick biting into the soft skin of her palms as she hauled herself up, "Shit, shit, shit," She hissed.
