☆━━━"AHH SHIT! I FUCKING hate running!" I shouted behind my sister, holding myself back to run at a speed that would allow April to keep up. Or I tried. Cause if we are being honest, it was rather difficult to keep myself from running my full speed.
Behind us, I could hear multiple footsteps as two of Shredder's men from Baxter's lab perused us. We cut across the street and a loud horn suddenly sounded off, "Oh shit!" I shouted, flipping with ease over the hood of a car as it nearly hit me head-on. "I'm fuckin' runnin' 'ere!" I shouted, making a sad impression of a Manhattan accent as I flipped the person the bird.
I know that bitch saw me! What the hell is wrong with people?
"Tinker?!" April exclaimed as she began to slow down, to see if I was okay.
I pushed myself to run a little faster, my hand reaching out to grab the edge of April's jacket sleeve as I urged her to keep moving. "Keep running, I'm fine!"
I didn't have to tell April twice, momentum gaining due to the fact I was practically towing my sister now. By the time we made it to an alley, the two of us veering off into the shadows of the night, April was breathing rather heavily now, and I knew soon she'd run out of stamina. I was doing my best to match my pace with April's, so I didn't leave her in the dust. This is why I told her to come work out with me and the brothers. I have been training with them for over two years, and I was so damn grateful for that fact in this moment.
Plus, it might have helped that I was nibbled on by a werewolf a few years ago. Even after two years of having these abilities, I was still struggling with control...but Master Splinter and Raphael were a big help with it all.
A tug on my hoodie pulled me from my thoughts and caused me to stumble to a stop as we got cut off by two more Foot obsessed ninjas, that had somehow got ahead of us.
Oh, you've got to be kidding me.
I swiveled my head around, eyes searching for another escape and my heart dropped when I saw the other Foot soldiers had caught up now. I narrowed my eyes on them, watching as they took calculated steps in our direction as if they were ready to pounce at any moment.
