☆━━━MY HEAD WAS LEANED against the cool interior of the Channel Six van, my glasses resting between my fingers as I spun them lazily. I was now dressed in my favorite Bugs Bunny hoodie paired with my ripped jeans and a pair of grey HOKA shoes. My once-styled hair was now up in a messy bun on my head, looking nothing like the cute messy buns I had seen on Pinterest.

I just could never get it right.

There was a small sigh that drifted from the front of the van, pulling my attention from my spinning glasses. I turned my attention toward the front, my gaze locking on the side profile of my sister, who was leaning against the glass window with a rather sad look on her sharp features as she watched people walk down the street.

It didn't take an expert to pinpoint why she looked that way, the name Eric Sacks being the first thing to come to mind.

"Eric Sacks was so inspiring," April whispered, her blue eyes glancing up at the traffic in front of us as we started moving again. "I know this is a story that matters,"

Not liking the way my sister seemed to admire the man, my brows pushed together as I thought back to the previous conversation with the scientist. He honestly gave off weird vibes—a literal creepy ass man who would put Dr. Doofenshmirtz to shame—I momentarily wondered if April got the same feeling, or if it was just me.

     Probably just me.

There was a beat of silence before I leaned forward, "You shouldn't think too hard about that, Ape," I said, resting a hand on the edge of her seat which gained her attention. "You're a great reporter, plus you got me – an amazing photographer."

My words seemed to make her feel better, because a soft smile twitched on her lips and just as she opened her mouth to say something back, it was ruined. And can you guess by who? No one other than Vernon Fenwick.

His face contorted as he nodded, eyes facing forward. "The superhero one? That's a good idea, you should chase that down." Sarcasm laced his words, and I quickly snapped my eyes in his direction, pissed he ruined a sister moment.
