My fingers glided across the keyboard of my laptop as I nibbled on my bottom lip, my lower half buried under my fluffy black blanket. The computer screen's light reflected off my glasses as my eyes scanned over the pictures I was editing from Eric Sack's charity event, proofing before I had to send them in.

It was moments like this that I enjoyed most, when it was just me, in the solace of my own space as I got lost in a world of editing and creativity. The tranquility I got when posting my work was something I craved, using visual images to capture and communicate stories and let people see what's going on in the world.

It was still early in the morning as I relaxed in bed. I would have been at work today with my sister, but for some reason, she decided to abandon me. I knew there was something off about how April was acting last night. I mean, it was obvious she didn't like the fact that I wanted to keep the turtle's secret, well, a secret – It wasn't ours to tell, and coming from someone whose whole life revolved around exposing secrets, the thought of doing that to the four brothers I met last night didn't sit right with me, and I didn't understand why.

But back to my sister, I had woken up this morning to an empty apartment, the only thing out of the ordinary being a little post-it note stuck on the outside of my door, which read...

'You looked so peaceful sleeping, so I didn't want to wake you...sorry about last night! I'll see you later! Love you, Tinkerbelle.'

'– April'

April was definitely up to something, and I knew that because I had sent the woman multiple messages, all of which she never opened. April had read receipts on, so it would tell me if she read the text.

I swear when she gets home, I'm going to bitch her ear off.

A few moments passed as I zoned out, steady clicks and sighs coming from me as I stared at the bright screen. My thoughts began to drift, and I was suddenly thinking about four jolly green giants again. The turtles. I wonder what they are doing right now...what would a mutant turtle do to kill time? Practice their ninja moves? I think the term is called Kata's. Not sure. And the fact we are all the same age still left me bamboozled. Like, we can all agree, they look like gown ass turtle dudes—
