NORA'S POV
When I woke up, it was almost 5 am, and I immediately cleaned the whole room in case it got dirty. Then, I cleaned myself. I was just walking out only in my boxers when I saw that guy looking for something.
"W-what are you doing here?" he asked, and I immediately covered my chest. He just rolled his eyes.
"I'm not gay, and if I were, I would never like a guy like you, be assured," it did make me feel a little offended. In my whole life, I had been told that I'm poor and ugly, and no one ever approached me, except for the old uncles and perverted guys who liked anyone for their body.
"Same here, sir," I smiled, and he frowned, pinning me against the wall.
"How dare you say that? It was good that you were struggling last night. I'm stupid to... I just hate your face," he said, grabbing my face harshly.
"Don't you hate it when anyone touches you? Leave me... Stay away."
"I won't. I'm your boss; I have all the rights on you," he said, coming closer to me. It was like I could even feel his heartbeat.
"S-sir, stay away." Although I hated it, gosh, I swear he's so hot. His face is smooth, his eyes are just toxic, and those lips... Ahhh, shit, I'm just a pervert to get attracted to a guy like this. His hands, I can't even explain; they're so daddy coded.
I just gave up and buried my face on his chest and spoke.
"Sir, please stay away." I swear I didn't hate it; it's just he's making me feel weak, and I hate this feeling. Never had I ever felt like this for any guy.
"Idiot," getting away, he walked away and began to look for something again, and I immediately put on my clothes and asked.
"What are you looking for, sir?" I asked, trying to be polite, and he just glared at me.
"My ring, I'm looking for my ring. I forgot it last night." If that means he's married and here I was having wrong feelings for him. Ahhh, Nora, you are such a stupid guy.
"O-oh, here it is... Actually, I was cleaning, and I found it. I swear I wanted to give it to you, but then if I placed it here and it got lost, then you would tell me that I stole yours, that's why... I swear, I'm not a thief," I tried to explain, and he looked at my hands with shock.
"This ring fits you?" he asked, and I nodded, smiling.
"Yes, it does. How much does it cost? Can you sell it to me? I love this ring; I really want to keep it," I asked, and he rolled his eyes, holding my hands harshly.
"This costs millions. Don't even think about it," he said and put it into his pocket. I just made a face and wanted to punch him, but I left it.
"Okay, sir, I'm sorry," saying that, I walked out and sat down at my desk and began to do my work as asked by my dear boss to make a presentation.
Minutes went by, I swear, looking out, I really envy everyone because they all are happily talking with each other and having fun between work. And here I am, working with this rude guy who doesn't even move here for a second, forget laughing.
Days went by, weeks, and working here literally taught me many things. I never knew anything about how to prepare presentations, prepare sheets, handle clients, products, and testing, but with the help of Emmy, our manager, and other staff, I learned many things.
Everyone here is so cool, kind, and helpful. Some are funny and cute too. They work so hard and also enjoy a lot too. All thanks to Ace's sister that she doesn't let this robot handle them. His job is only to run this company; otherwise, he would make them robots too.
I was filling my water bottle when my dear boss came beside and handed me his bottle.
"Fill mine too."
"I'm not your maid, you ass, Ace," I wanted to say it, but I didn't. Suddenly, he turned and smirked.
"You said it aloud again," he said and walked away, scoffing. I just hit my head and did whatever he asked. Returning back, I just handed him his bottle, and we all began to eat our lunch.
Yes, surprisingly, we all have a lunch area, and it's a rule to eat together. Even Ace joins us, but he sits at the same chair every day and doesn't talk to get in touch with ever.
When a beautiful lady walked in and sat down beside me.
"Oh, hello, are you Nora?" she asked me politely. Her voice was so angelic, and she was like so beautiful. Everyone here is so rich and beautiful; sometimes, I feel so insecure of myself.
"Yes." I don't know how to make conversation when the annoying girl, Stacy, spoke in my ears.
"Ask her name too; you have no good manners." I swear she's so annoying. She always advises me on how to speak, how to eat, how to walk... I'm tired of her. I understand I don't have manners, but I'm okay with it. If it's going to hurt anyone, I will change it, but what's the problem if I'm just being myself... I swear I don't like her now.
"How are you, Ace? Sit here," she said, pointing in front of her, and he just smiled, looking at her and sat down at the place she mentioned. I never saw him smiling at anyone. Earlier when I asked him to sit beside me, he just glared at me. But look at this pervert, just because she's pretty, everyone is paying attention to her... Nice, nice.
"By the way, Nora, hi, I'm Celine, Dav's best friend and this company's social media and legal affairs head," she said, and I was just astonished. Everyone here is just in their 20s, but their salaries are more than me, they have side businesses, and they all look so simple.
"Nice... You look so young yet you do so many things."
"Ace can run the company at the age of 25; can't I do this? Everyone here is young; that's why our company's slogan is "Powered by Youth: Where Ideas Ignite and Dreams Take Flight."
"But he's the only old guy over here after Sian. I agree Sian has been working here for so long, so it makes sense. But look at him, he's so old, yet with no experience," Stacy said, making fun of me, and for a second, everyone laughed.
"Yeah, no experience and the least earning guy, but I surely know when and how to open my mouth. It's unnecessary to open your mouth and puke shit," I said, and everyone turned silent. I immediately left that place and began to work again when Stacy came and held my hands, kneeling in front of me.
"I apologize, Nora. I realize now how frequently I've teased you, and it wasn't fair. I genuinely didn't intend to hurt your feelings. I promise I'll be more mindful from now on."
"Thank you for understanding, but perhaps it's best if we keep our interactions to a minimum. While others may take your jokes lightly, I prefer a more respectful exchange. Please, let's put this behind us, and I have no ill will towards you."
"Again, I'm truly sorry. I hope you can forgive me." With those words, she left. Shortly after, Miss Celine approached me, offering some chips.
"Here, have some. They're delicious," she said warmly. I accepted with a grateful smile and took a chip. As she walked away to join Ace, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me, grateful for her kindness amidst the workplace tension.
Note-: i repeat making fun of someone or correcting someone again and again even as no intention to hurt them is not good, yeah sometimes it's ok... Like if you did it as mistake or for their own good but always is not a joke, you never know what a person is going through
