After six months...
It was the Chinese New Year holiday, and finally, after working for a whole month without a break and dealing with an overload of clients, Gulf's company decided to give all of its employees a one-week paid leave.
They were sitting in the hall, feeling restless and bored. There were only three of them: Mew stayed at home the most, and he was clearly the most bored, while the rest were also thinking about planning a vacation.
"Let's go to Kirigun's home. Their home is in the mountains... we can visit lakes, hike through the mountains, and enjoy nature," Gulf suggested, looking around at everyone with hopeful eyes.
"Yeah, that's a great plan," Noah agreed, holding his boyfriend’s hand warmly.
"Nora? Will you come with us?" Gulf asked. Nora, pouting, just nodded reluctantly.
"Alex will come with me, right Alex?" Noah asked. Alex, with a serious expression, shook his head.
"No, I’m not going. I'm just a bodyguard... I shouldn't be there," Alex said firmly.
"You are my boyfriend too. Please, please, please," Noah pleaded, his eyes wide with longing.
"Alex, you're family, dear. Why do you always say that... let's go," Gulf urged, his tone gentle but insistent.
"Why shouldn't I? Someone actually told me I should shut up because I'm just a bodyguard," Alex said, glaring at Nora. Nora looked away, avoiding eye contact.
"Nora, again? Why do you look down on people, even your own mom? I'm surprised how you dealt with Ace," Gulf said with a sigh, his disappointment palpable.
"I'm the God child. I mean, God's baby, everyone's owner, so I can bully anyone. And I didn't deal with Ace; he did. I used to slap him... no one can tell me what to do, but this guy stopped me from getting drunk in a club yesterday," Nora said, glaring defiantly at Alex.
"What? You were getting drunk?" Gulf stood up, grabbing a baseball bat. Nora immediately hid behind Mew, and everyone began to laugh.
"God's child? Everyone's owner? Where is that?" Alex asked mockingly.
"You know, Noah, he was staring at chicks yesterday," Nora tried to accuse Alex. Noah just rolled his eyes, holding his boyfriend's arms protectively.
"Even if God told me, I wouldn't believe it. Except for Mom, he never even glanced at anyone..."
"Yeah, don't you have any shame, Alex? I still remember the first time you looked at my mom—so weird."
"He just looked at Momma with adoration. You literally had a crush on your mother-in-law. Shameless."
"It was adoration to," Nora retorted, his tone defensive.
"Same here... Mew sir, I didn't have any feelings for anyone except Noah. I was just shocked when I saw Gulf, sir, for the first time because I had never seen anyone as beautiful as that. Please don't mind."
"No worries. Anyone can look, but he's mine. I mean..." Mew hesitated, a blush creeping onto his cheeks.
"Yes, I'm his. Anyone can look, but I belong to him only," Gulf said, putting the bat aside and sitting on his husband's lap.
Finally, they were ready for the surprise visit. After packing up, they left for another city.
The journey was long and tiring, and by the time they arrived, they were exhausted and hungry. They knocked on the door, and Dav opened it.
"What? Momma!" she yelled out in excitement. Type, who had been sleeping, woke up and hurriedly came out.
"Gulf!" As he looked at his brother, he jumped with joy and ran towards him, ready to hug him, but Gulf stopped him.
"Don't hug me... we came from a very dusty area. Let us wash up first," he said, not wanting Type to get infected.
They were warmly welcomed, and the whole family cleaned themselves and their clothes. After hanging them up, they all came out in funny night pajamas.
"What? Why are you in those pajamas?" Tharn asked, laughing.
"We washed our clothes and bags, as we always do after traveling, so this is the only clothing that dried up quickly," Gulf explained, and they looked at Type.
"Do you also have a cleanliness disorder like Momma?" Dav asked. Gulf just nodded.
"Mew, you?" Tharn asked.
"I do it because my husband does it... he hates dirt, so I do too," Mew said. Tharn made a fake crying face and hugged him.
"Us, brother, us... I can feel you," he said, and everyone laughed.
"We are hungry. Do you have anything to eat?" Gulf asked. Type shook his head.
"No, none of us know how to cook except for Tharn, and he was sleeping. He just woke up. Just wait, he'll cook something soon. Our maid doesn't work at night since she has kids."
"No worries, let me help Tharn," Mew offered, but Celine spoke up.
"No worries, Uncle. I'm here," Celine came in with lots of food in her hands and, after wiping her hands, hugged Nora. They sat down to chat, and Nora immediately asked what was on his mind.
"I heard Ace hired a new assistant?" he asked while everyone was arranging food.
"Yes, she was hired from Amsterdam, studied at Harvard, looks gorgeous, and also stays here since she's a foreigner," Celine said. Nora clenched his fists.
"She stays here?"
"Yes, yes. She's very professional and good at everything... even Ace sir can't surpass her work. She's awesome," Celine said, holding Nora's hands. Ace then walked in, followed by the girl.
Ace looked at Nora, shocked for a second, but then composed himself and walked away.
"Come to my room in 20 minutes," he said, looking at the girl. She nodded and gave a professional smile before heading to another room. After 20 minutes, while everyone was having dinner, Nora saw the girl go into Ace's room. He sighed and began to eat his food.
"Nora, if you're done, can you please bring this food to Ace?" Type asked, winking at Gulf. It was their plan to mend things between them. Nora, already curious about what was happening inside, agreed. He entered the room and saw the girl sitting on Ace's bed, with Ace also seated there.
"Your food," Nora said, looking at Ace.
"Oh, Mr. Nora. Emerald, this is Nora. He used to be my assistant. Nora, can you bring food for Emerald too? She must be hungry," Ace said. Although Nora wanted to refuse, he just nodded, brought the second plate, and gave it to Emerald, who didn't even thank him.
"Oh, yes. Can you do me a favor?" Emerald asked Nora, who remained silent.
"Please give me the credentials for all these web pages and emails. Thankfully, you're here," she said. As Nora was listing them, Ace spoke.
"Emerald, eat this. It's your favorite," Ace said with a smile, offering her a spoon. Before she could eat, Nora slapped Ace's hand away and then slapped Emerald.
"You bitch, you're just an assistant. Aren't you ashamed to trap your boss?" He slammed her onto the floor. Ace immediately grabbed his hands, but Nora glared at him and slapped him hard enough to make him fall on top of Emerald.
"Now you both look exactly the same. You know, you look like twins. And Ace, if you want to make me jealous, forget it. I will literally skin you alive if you even dare to get close to her in front of me..."
"Nora!" Ace yelled but was silenced by another slap. Nora then walked out furiously from the room
