The day for everyone to arrive back at Hogwarts from the break had arrived. It wasn't until dinner time that they had finally set foot on the castle. This time, however, there were a few more students than those that had started since the beginning of the school year. And Dumbledore was not allowing that to go unnoticed. So, before the feast began, he made his announcement. "As some of you may have heard, recently a spell has been re-discovered by my goddaughter, Sandy Reese, that awakens the magic locked within Squibs and Late-bloomers."

Some people turned to look at the girl in question, and some cheers followed from her House's table, as well as a few from the other three. She got patted in the back by Sirius, while James shouted out. "Yeah, Sandy!"

Letting out a chuckle, Dumbledore continued, prompting the students to settle down and listen. "For this reason, there will be a few new students joining us today, of different ages. I hope that you all welcome them as you would anyone else." He then gestured to the doors of the Great Hall, which both opened to reveal Professor McGonagall, followed by a few new students those robes still held no House colours. With their attention now on them, Sandy's cheeks ceased to be as rosy. Although many people continued staring.

She could easily spot Petunia from the crowd, as did Lily, whom was quick to point her out to her friends. Granted, Mary and Marlene had already met her in the train. "That's my sister, Petunia."

"Which one?" James questioned softly as he leaned towards Lily.

The redhead, now expressing a deep blush as she had felt his breath on her ear, shakily answered. "The raven haired girl in the middle. She's my twin. Sandy made her magic come out."

Adjusting his glasses, James grinned at her and nodded once realizing who she was pointing at. "Good. I'll keep it in mind. What house do you recon she'll be sorted in?"

"I'm... I'm actually not sure." Whether that was true, or not, Lily simply couldn't find it in herself to think, due to the proximity of the boy. However, she tried stuttering out a response. "Ummm, she's quite smart?"

"Well, you can be smart and end up in any of the four houses." He responded with a shrug, realizing that this did not narrow it down. All the while, he remained oblivious to Lily's heart palpitations. Since the year had started, thanks to Sandy, she had begun seeing the boy in a new light. After talking to the girl while they were in Diagon Alley, she also learnt of about how the Potters had taken Sirius and Regulus Black in, as well as James' reaction and actions towards all that had happened. Between this, and the much less frequent tormenting committed towards Severus, the redhead was now considering that perhaps, he wasn't so bad after all.

Professor McGonnagal began the Sorting Ceremony, holding a parchment in one of her hands, and the Hat in the other. "When I call your name, you will come forth. I shall place the Sorting Hat on your head, and you'll be sorted into your houses. Second year, Owen Umbridge!" A twelve or thirteen year old, hesitantly stepped forward, with shaky hands, not expecting to be the first, and took a seat on the stool. Once the Hat was placed over his head, it only took a few seconds before-

"Gryffindor!" The Hat loudly announced, leading to cheering from his new House. Sandy was shocked, to say the least, but clapped alongside everyone else. One of their house's prefects from sixth year approached the boy and helped him find those of his age, while explaining a few things to the kid. She did glance over the Slytherin table, and noticed Dolores' frown. For once, she didn't look at the tiny demon with fear, and grinned at her displeasure.
