At some point, the pair had fallen asleep. Sandy had done it first, prompting a sleepy Sirius to remove her other shoe, cover up her exposed ankle with the sock once more, and bring her in under the covers with him. He had also managed to close the curtains and cast a silencing spell around the bed, to ensure their friends would not disturb their slumber. Although Sandy had no chance to take a dose of the Potion for Dreamless Sleep, she managed to suffer no nightmares while in his embrace, and he didn't experience any discomfort of his own either.
However, like all periods of peace, this one would eventually be disturbed at some point. Even though neither of the Marauders had taken notice of Sandy's presence in the room, much less Sirius' bed, they were about to, as the morning arrived.
"Rise and shine! The day is bright! Summer is near, and the time for pranks is here! Wake up, fellas, for we are going to have a great time!" James shouted out as he opened the curtains of Peter's bed, going to wake him up first. All he received was an annoyed groan. "Come on, Wormy. Let's not waste daylight!"
"It's Sunday. Let me sleep or your life will cease to exist." He mumbled from his pillow, which was covered in drool where his mouth came in contact with it.
James ruffled his hair, and shook his head, before going over to Remus' bed next. "Did you have a good night sleep, Moony? Great! Lovely! Let's wake up, so we can prank somebody!"
"Fuck you, and who ever decided that chocolate should only be eaten less than 50 times a day." Remus murmured from his comfortable position before pulling on the bed covers and hiding his entire body underneath it. "Go and bother Pads, or little Black. Werewolves need sleep, or we kill."
With a roll of his eyes, but a smile still in place, he skipped over to Sirius' bed and pulled open the curtains as he called out in a singsong voice. "Padfoot~! Wanna-!" He quickly covered his mouth, eyes wide, as he stared at the scene in newfound silence. Closing the curtains as silently as possible, he walked backwards, before sprinting to the other two boys' beds. Cautiously (or what he thought resembled such description) he whispered shouted to the pair about what he had witnessed. "Wormy, Moony! Sandy is with Padfoot in his bed!"
Remus chuckled, before rubbing his eyes and opening them to meet James'. "Very funny. Go back to sleep or leave the room."
"But, I saw it!"
"Either you're lying, or you've imagined it through your sleepiness."
At that response, James pondered over Remus' words of wisdom. So, slowly, he made his way back to Sirius' bed, and peaked through the curtains. Then, he went to his own nightstand, got his brand new 'WizSnap Spectrum Camera'. This was the new name Barty had given his enchanted, instant cameras with moving photographs in colour (and had began selling them in and out of Hogwarts, with his father's permission). In fact, Barty had been very enthusiastic over his new little (but rapidly growing) business, and did not shy away from telling anyone he now had a place in the Chocolate Frog Cards. With the camera in hand, James returned, and took a picture of Sirius and Sandy cuddling, still asleep. Walking back to Remus and Peter's side, he shook the photograph to allow the ink to dry, and showed it to the duo. "See? I didn't imagine it!"
