"So... Do they love each other now?" Pandora questioned Regulus as she nodded towards Sandy. The three fourth years were studying in the library alongside the time-traveller. However, in this moment, she had gone to grab a book on Muggle Inventions to aid Barty with his interest in creating magical objects inspired in Muggle technology.
"No, I told you. Sandy and Sirius don't have their feelings blocked by the Elixir any longer. So, their infatuations for each other have returned. But, they're not at the love stage yet. I don't think so, anyways." Indeed this was true. It had been two weeks since 'the incident', only for both parties involved to individual decide on playing a game of who could avoid the other the most. Currently, there were no losers nor winners.
Barty, beside them shrugged, before wiggling his eyebrows at Regulus. "Speaking of love, how are you and McKinnon?"
His face reddened as a result, sending a glare at his Ravenclaw friend. "We're not talking about Coral right now." And yet, he couldn't help but allow his mind to wander to Coral. How just earlier in Charms class she had asked for some notes from a previous day she had been sick, and after handing them to her, she had grabbed his hand and given it a thankful squeeze. Regulus had not washed that hand yet.
"No, you 'only' do it between classes, in class time, when we're studying for exams, when we're at our personal book club, late in the afternoon until we're close to curfew time, and just about anytime that you're not trying to focus on Operation SandyStar." Pandora replied in a dreamy, yet rather teasing tone, as she recalled the many times she had wanted to hit her friend with a chair if he didn't shut up about McKinnon. At this Barty held up a hand up, and the two Ravenclaws gave five at each other, before snickering.
Before Regulus could come up with a counter comment, Sandy returned and sat back at the table. "Here it is, Barty. If you need any help understanding anything there, let me know and I'll help."
He nodded quickly, with the widest grin he could muster, as he wasted no second to venture into the book. "Will do, thanks!" And immediately, his nose had dived onto the book's pages.
Letting out a chuckle, Sandy shook her head and went to study for herself. Herbology was becoming a little complicated, and she severely missed being able to have everything explained to her by Neville. The theory part she had down, however, it was actually taking care of plants that seemed to escape her. But, at least she had been improving in Astronomy and Transfigurations, thanks to Sirius' appointers. Not that she was receiving much of those the past two weeks, due to their mutual decision to avoid each other. A las, she focused on the material by herself, while the other three also focused on their own work, occasionally asking questions. At one point, Pandora tapped on Sandy's shoulder. "Yes?"
And so, a philosophical question came to be. It was rather often Pandora voiced them out, and this time, she was doing so to help get a couple together. "Do you believe that Love can conquer everything evil in the world?"
The first people who came to her mind were Lily and Harry (from the other timeline). They had indeed proven this, with their Sacrificial Love Magic, and successful combating against the Dark Arts. "Most certainly. If that love is potent enough, it can triumph against anything. Love Magic is a very powerful, ancient force that is among us all. We just have to be brave enough to reach for it."
