"I don't know. It's all just rather confusing." Sandy mumbled towards Cassandra, her other self, through the magical compact mirror that allowed multitemporal communication. "I'm still pissed at mom and dad, but, at least I know they're alive, and I get to see them occasionally. Their memories have helped some, you know, to understand how different reality is from my distorted memories, but- well, you know what I'm talking about. You likely feel the same way since-"
"We're the same person," Cassandra ended with a nod through the mirror. It was odd to speak to someone with your own face, through a mirror, who got to continue to live with her loved ones, and also agreed with everything she spoke. Had the same or similar thoughts and ideas. "Yeah, I know. It's freaky for me too."
Letting out a sigh, Sandy nodded at her other self. In her mind, she found their interactions almost annoying, as any trait she despised about herself was exposed to her through these. However, this was the only way she could get information from home, and she was also the only person her age who she could talk to, freely, about everything, without fear of anything being found out by Voldemort for it. It was almost as if speaking to herself, only there was a more elaborate, and comprehensive response. "How are things going on there, by the way? With Death Eaters, trials, and all that?"
"Well, the Malfoys got off, but, mostly because of Draco and Mrs Malfoy's help during the war. You know, with him not giving us up at the manor, and her lying to Voldemort about Harry. Everyone else has been sent off to Azkaban, minus those that died, of course. There have been plenty of Dementor Kisses for the worst of the worst. Also, Umbridge is in Azkaban too! And, as you know, Hogwarts was rebuilt, and now I'm doing my fifth year, and Hermione her seventh. Luna and Ginny are repeating their 7th year, so, they're with Hermione. Almost every student is repeating their year. Harry, Ron, and Neville are off being Aurors, catching the last of the Death Eaters. Our dear S.P.E.W. has taken a rise in popularity after how helpful the elves were during the Battle of Hogwarts. Your idea of bringing a mind healer was good, by the way. Professor McGonagall, our lovely Headmistress, got our timeline's Everill to work on the students, and teachers, since so many of us were involved in the fight. Plus, you know, trauma from being taught by the Carrows with the Cruciatus and whatnot. By the way, Fleur is pregnant!"
"There's so much to unpack there." She responded. For one, she was annoyed at Lucius Malfoy getting a free ride to a pardon. However, she was very happy about the imprisonment of Death Eaters, along with Umbridge (specially her). Then, there were other things to be happy about from all that had been spoken. "Tell her congratulations from me, by the way."
"I will. And, yeah, I know, sorry." Cassandra chuckle, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. "How about you? Last time you've told me your lessons with the two Dumbledores, and your parents are going better. That the occlumency, duelling, and Ancient Magic is all working out?"
"Well, I can only have so many lessons, since I also have to worry about the O.W.L.s, giving Dumbledore information, and getting ready for the Basilisk. Yet, here, everyone is just worried about St Valentine's day." She saw her feet above her, as she was laying on her with her stomach down, elbows on the mattress. Right above her were the succulents, still persisting on their vitality and embedded onto the bed, permanently.
