"You better be joking."
"I'm afraid not, Ms Reese."
I doubt that this is an actual problem for you, Sandy thought bitterly, as she pondered on the many times he had allowed children to fight his battles back in her timeline. Unfortunately, Dobby had come to them, once more. While Dobby's presence itself was not unwelcomed, the poor news he delivered were indeed. It seemed that Narcissa indeed would not be able to get through the blood wards of the Lestrange Vaults. "We were able to get into the vault regardless of these 'blood wards'. Maybe it was the Polyjuice- you know, having DNA from one of the vault owners? What if we try that? One of the Order members getting there disguised as one of the Lestranges- even if the security measures will drop the disguise? That would be preferable than to this."
"Given that, in the moment of time that you and your friends entered the vault, and the amount of time the Lestranges had been in Azkaban, I suspect that the blood wards must have been weakened enough for that to work, yes. However, at this moment in time, they are strong as ever." Dumbledore responded, insisting why her luck in her previous timeline would not work on this instance. "Or perhaps, as it is a different timeline, the security measures were simply different. There might be something you have provoked, either directly, or by the butterfly effect, when you came here, that changed that."
As she thought about it, Sandy groaned, for a realization came to be. "No... Sirius had been made the head of his house due to all the other men in his family dying, from the Black side anyways. I don't think he accepted the title and magic, but, technically, it was still his. He... He made Harry his heir and sole beneficiary. It's possible the blood wards were still in place and that they simply allowed us in because Harry was indeed, unknowingly, the head of the House of Black..."
"So you see why we need Mr Black then?"
Letting out a long breath, Sandy nodded reluctantly. With gritted teeth, she made her conditions. "If you want me to try to convince him to take on the Black Lordship- something he absolutely detests, by the way, he has to pass the Occlumency test first. Not to mention, technically, Cygnus Black is currently Lord Black by proxy, as regent, since Orion is in Azkaban, and Alphard has recently died." It was true, their favourite uncle had passed, and left his two nephews all of his fortune, along with some to Andromeda, prompting Cygnus, the acting head of house, to post humorously blast him off the tapestry. "Not to mention, we technically have to wait for Sirius' birthday for him to legally take on the Lordship. Unless you're suggesting the wards can allow him in before he turns 17?"
"You are quite right. I will be training him for the Order now, ensure his mind is potent, along with his wand casting. We indeed have a few months to prepare him for this heist."
"That is if he goes along with it."
"From what you've told me of his future, and what I've observed of his present, I am certain he would be a more than willing participant."
"That's what I'm afraid of."
"Pardon?"
"You heard me." Sandy then stood up, finalizing their 'tea time afternoon', and gathered her things. She had expressed time and time again that she did not want any of her friends involved until, at the very least, they had graduated. Although he had promised to follow with this demand, he, of course, had broken his so called word of honour. "I'll be the one to tell him about me, the future I came from, and why we need to enter the vault."
