If there was one thing Sandy did not want for her former potions professor, now friend, Severus Snape, it was for him to return to his homelife when the school year ended. This was something she resented Dumbledore for; not aiding children in abusive homes. However, she knew that this lack of action wasn't only something Dumbledore did, but the entire wizarding world. Muggles, at the very least, did have a system to protect children, even if it wasn't completely adequate. Wizards, on the other hand, almost believed it was 'everyone for themselves'. While she understood and admired their strong family system, too much of anything always ends up corrupted.
And so, she had been formulating a plan to aid. Perhaps she was overstepping. Severus would likely snap at her for getting in where she didn't belong. However, Sandy had decided that this was one of the cases where it was best to apologize, than ask for permission.
With the aid of Dumbledore's contacts (just because he didn't do anything directly, it didn't mean she wouldn't push), Sandy had been able to get in touch with a shop owner in Diagon Alley, and now the plan was in motion. However, that would come later.
As of this moment, on a Sunday morning, she had snuck into the Snape household, cast a sleeping spell on Tobias Snape, and was looking for Eileen. Thankfully, Arabella Figgs, former Squib, had installed the Floo Network in her home, and allowed Sandy access for the day, therefore not needing to use the Knight Bus. The pair
"What the bloody hell are you doing here?!" Eileen shouted out once noticing a stranger was now making her company in the kitchen. She blinked, coming to the realization that she had screamed, to which she winced, certain that her husband would now wreak havoc. Cowering for the expected outburst that would come, she whispered at the girl fearfully, and disapprovingly. "You shouldn't be here child."
"Oh, it's okay. Your husband is sleeping. Potions are very useful." Technically, she spoke no lie. Potions were indeed useful, but she had not used them. However, as a minor, she would be expected to be forbidden from using magic outside of Hogwarts. "Ma'am, I'm a friend of Severus. Sorry for intruding your home without warning. My name is Sandy Reese." She extended her hand towards the witch, who took it hesitantly, trembling slightly.
It took her a little while to search for the name in her mind. "You're that one. The, the one that was in the paper, with the, with the charm. Dumbledore's goddaughter. Yes, Severus writes highly of you."
"I'm flattered. Should we take a seat, and talk?"
"You should be in Hogwarts. Not here. Not... Not here."
"I had permission for this little trip. Perks of being the Headmaster's goddaughter, I guess. And, to be frank, neither of us should be here."
Eileen stared at her, flabbergasted, unsure how to respond to that. Sandy took a chance to take a proper look at the woman. She dressed in dark tones, moss green, Sandy deduced, although seeing as her dress seemed old, and heavily unwashed, the colour was debatable. It was also covered in patches, some brown, some grey, and some holes remained unfixed. Her hair was tucked back in a pony tail, with loose stands all over, unbrushed, and rather greasy, particularly at the roots. Her arms were almost a painting; pale, with coloured dots all over. Some were yellow and green, others purple and nearly black. Some had a more defined shape, elongated, while others were much larger. Her socks were mismatched, one grey the other black. As for her shoes, she didn't really see the need to call it that. The soles were wide open, allowing the view of a toe or two escaping through holes in the socks. "I, ummm, what do you mean? This is my house. It's... It's my house. You shouldn't be here. Get out."
