A few days had gone by, and Sirius remained stubborn on his decision to not break the potion's effects. All the while, other things were happening within the castle's walls. Sandy found herself conversing with Dumbledore more and more, in relation to the war taking place all over the country. Now that Sandy had a direct link to her other self via the magical compact mirror, they were able to get more detailed information on Death Eater attacks. Dumbledore had used the Order of the Phoenix to prove the identity of 11 Death Eaters, and link them to their crimes. However, it mostly wasn't anyone of true consequence yet, other than Yaxley. The Lestranges, Malfoys, the Notts, Rosier and Avery Senior...

However, on the side, Sandy prepared for their summer plans. Given Dumbledore's inability to end Voldemort in the First Wizarding War, the pair had decided on a new approach; propaganda. That had been one of the reasons she had to be very public about the charm to awaken magic within Squibs and Late-bloomers. In summer, however, they would open the Chamber of Secrets, kill the Basilisk, and get it's venom on Gryffindor's sword. This would be made very public once more. However, Sandy wasn't taking any chances with a creature that could kill or petrify with one glance (depending on whether there was straight or indirect eye contact). She had already created two charms to aid her in these endeavours; one to induce a a rooster to crow (Hagrid was currently raising a few too), and another to allow a wizard to guide themselves via echo location.

At the moment, she was getting accustomed to the latter, to navigating the halls with her eyes closed and wand extended in front of her. Although she had nearly bumped onto a surface a few times, she was going good. "Sandy? What on Earth are you doing?" She recognized that voice; James Potter.

With her eyes still closed, she addressed him, and the other silhouette she saw beside him. "Hello, James, Sirius. How are you both doing this fine... It's still the afternoon, right?"

Sirius was the first to respond. "How did you know it was me?!"

"I'm using a spell to see via echo location."

"I've never heard of such spell."

"I made it." Upon hearing Sandy's words, Sirius was not at all surprised. He had still been thinking about the rune spell decorating his wrist.

"Groovy!" James expressed out loud, before pointing out how odd he thought the situation was. With his head tilted to the side, he resembled a pensive, antlerless, cute deer with glasses. "But, I have a question. Why did you make it, and why are you using it?"

Sandy finally released the spell and opened her eyes. "Multiple reasons, deer. Such as, for instance, needing to travel through the darkness without alerting other people with a Lumos spell. I thought it be useful." She wasn't about to tell them she was practising so that a gigantic snake residing bellow the school would not kill her when she went to confront it.

The nickname had been missed by both boys, far too interested in the other information they had been given. "Yes!" Sirius grinned, immediately thinking on how to apply such spell. "The portraits would not complain so much, giving away our position, or even waking! And playing pranks at night would be much, much easier."
