The Eldest Son++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Author's POV
Jeongguk was not surprised when he turned around and saw the last person he wanted to see.
Park Jimin. With the most unbothered facial expressions ever known to a man on his face.
But here’s the thing, Jeongguk was instead taken aback by what his groom had said earlier. Doesn’t he know that the punishment for being disrespectful or speaking informally towards the crown prince is to cut off the tongue? Because it’s considered talking indirectly to a King as he will be the next ruler after his father. Or was it because Jimin thinks he won't dare to do it?
“You’re thinking whether or not to cut off my tongue isn’t it…”
Jeongguk snapped out of his thinking when heard the question. Should he just kill Jimin here instead? No one is here and no one will find his body. Not to mention he also doesn't need to worry about the throne or getting married to him. Everything was perfect, this was an opportunity for Jeongguk.
“I’m thinking whether or not to kill you right here.” He stated bluntly, expecting Jimin to frighten or react but the male stayed with his stoic face as if Jeongguk had not just made a threat to his whole being. It frustrated him further when the older didn’t say anything back, ignoring his words as he watched Jimin caress a white horse who stood beside Jin-Woo, which Jeongguk believed was his ride.
“If you’re just going to stay silent then leave.”
“You talked too much.” Jimin deadpanned, startling Jeongguk again for the second time that day as he felt annoyance slowly building up in his body.
“Pardon?”
“If you want to kill me then just do it and be done-” Jimin explained lazily, taking off his hyeungnip and his hair ties making his long brown hair fall over his shoulders. “All you do is bark, no bite. It’s boring.” He finished his sentence by tying his hair earlier in a ponytail style, purposely to drive the crown prince further.
“Are you challenging me?” Jeongguk asked, hardly able to uphold his manner anymore as the urge for him to swing the sword at Jimin was creeping up on him. He dislikes the male, and when he dislikes something- he would make it disappear. In this case, he can never make the eldest disappear but unaliving him is the closest option. The same goes for problems, he would always find solutions but not this time. He doesn’t view Jimin as one he would wed, but rather- as a threat to everything he had ever loved.
And that… makes Jeongguk undeniably hate his presence.
“Oh, did I hurt your pride?” Jimin asked as he held out his hand from the saddle of his horse and unexpectedly drew a sword to Jeongguk. The crown prince immediately shifted in his defense position and watched the eldest son smirk. No words, no warning, Jimin abruptly swung the sword low, targeting Jeongguk’s legs as the crown prince backed away before pivoting his to Jimin's.
Stunned but quickly regained his instinct as he blocked the attack before pressing it away. Without further thought, he pointed the sword up to the sky before slightly inclined it and swayed over to Jimin with every hate in his veins. Jeongguk was strong… But Jimin was fast. Before the sword got to him, the eldest instantly put it in front of his face; making their swords clashed together.
