A Red Warning

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Author's POV

"Park Jimin..." He sighed and eyed around. It had been over an hour since they arrived and Jimin didn't stop for once. Going from one stall to another, from foods to clothes and even weird accessories. It was not that Jeongguk was complaining, Jimin literally looked so happy and free. Albeit the older one didn't smile, his vibe gave away the feeling. And that was all he wanted for his dear husband.

However, Jeongguk wasn't a fan of the crowds. Even more so when spending the time a little bit too much for his liking. He glanced down at his hands, occupied by various things Jimin had touched. The older one didn't ask for it, but he decided to buy it anyway. Anything just to see Jimin surprise whenever he came with new things each time.

"Yes?" Jimin spoke as Jeongguk glanced to his right, watching the older man eating Bingsu. He spared a soft smile at the view. No, Jimin wasn't the typical in usual stories. He wasn't cute, he wasn't easygoing nor crazy like most, and he wasn't even friendly and talked much. And that was what made Jeongguk love him more. The difference...

His Jimin was quiet most of the time, well mannered and mature. He was soft-spoken, a gentleman who walked gracefully like the wind. His Jimin wasn't easy to persuade, and even harder to read. Jeongguk could never tell what was going on in his mind for most of the time. The crown prince shook his head with a smile at the thought and looked down. Though... There were times when Jimin was arrant and bold. And maybe a teaser too. Just like the first they met in the woods.

"Let's go back now..." He suggested and looked upwards before looking back to Jimin. "It will be dark in a few more hours and we don't want to walk the road with ghosts, do we?" He teased as Jimin scrunched his nose in confusion before realizing what the younger was trying to say. Jeongguk was making up excuses to leave early to the point he even used pathetic and unlogical ones.

"It's noon." Jimin deadpanned, as Jeongguk only smiled sheepishly.

"Fine... But I'm tired. So, let's go back now..." Jeongguk urged, not willing to spend a second further on the market. He badly wanted to leave Jimin here if the older man insisted on walking further. But he knew that if anything happened to his husband, he would beat himself for it. Moreover when he was the one who brought Jimin here. Hence he held himself from doing so and actually spoke regarding the matter.

"No." Jimin denied it, grinning evilly inside as he took this chance to use it against Jeongguk after the scene earlier in the woods.

"No?"

"Yes, no. I'm not tired..." Jimin reasoned out and watched the crown prince's face fall at the realization he needed to walk further. Jeongguk groaned in frustration.

"I can walk for another hour."

"I can't walk... for another hour."

That was the first thing that left Jimin's mouth thirty minutes later as Jeongguk only huffed and ignored the comments. He walked properly and secured his hands, not wanting Jimin to fall. The older one was on his back, arms encircled around his neck while the pair of long legs wrapped around his waist.

"I'm a crown prince..." Jeongguk mumbled to himself. "Then why am I carrying him on my back?" He groaned frustrated but didn't stop moving his legs. He was already breaking the royal rules earlier the moment he stepped on the ground with the same ground as the slaves walked. Now he was breaking another one again by displaying improper action in the public whilst he should have his back straight with no burden behind latch onto it.
