Kiss Me Then

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Author's POV

Jeongguk wasn't smiling, no, he wasn't. But his heart was beating so fast that he didn't know if he was dying or was only nervous. He couldn't remember when was the last time he felt so… alive. So… human.

And so… happy.

He glanced down, feeling the few strands of Jimin’s hair brushed tickly against his chin whenever Jin-Woo took a step forward. Yes, instead of riding their own horses, they decided- well, more like Jeongguk insisted- for them to ride only one horse and it was his. And though it took a few tries and efforts, it was all worth it in the end.

Because now, Jimin was sitting right in front of him and his scene was smelling more real than ever. Not to mention that the older man was basically trapped in his arms as he needed to hold Jin-Woo's head collar rope that made both sides of Jimin were surrounded by his hands. There were a few inches of space between them and it took all his sanity and manners to not just- pulled Jimin closer to him.

Jeongguk stared blankly at the empty spaces, though his head was surrounded with ideas on how to fill it. Nothing could be heard around them except for the birds chirping beautifully and the pitter patter of Jin-Woo's steps. Nature was kind to them that day, windy and collected atmosphere; a very romantic scene.

However, Jimin was not. The male still hadn't spoken a word and Jeongguk wasn't really liking it. Hence, he just needed to do something.

Smirking, the crown prince wasted no time than to pull the collar rope, making his horse instantly stop on his track. His eyes glowed in hopes, waiting for Jimin to say something but as the minute passed; silence remained upon them. He poked his cheek with his inner tongue, clearly frustrated by his failed experiment.

Jeongguk chuckled darkly when another evil idea came into his mind. Without thinking much, he applied a gentle inward pressure with his foot to cue Jin-Woo to go forward and increase his speed. The horse acted on the silent command, trotting a little bit too fast, almost close to running.

“What are you doing?”

Jeongguk squealed inside, finally getting some responses out of his husband. He chuckled in return, hiding away the fact his inner self was screaming in excitement. “I'm taking you on a ride obviously, what else?” He answered simply and applied more pressure as Jin-Woo started to move faster.

“You think I'm stupid? You're messing with me.” Jimin spat and Jeongguk noticed the older man started to clench his hands, having nothing else to hold on to.

“Oh no, I just wanted to arrive at the market earlier…” He reasoned out teasingly and finally tossed the collar rope as Jin-Woo immediately sprinted down the road. The young Shire had always been faster than the rest of the horses– considering the fact the breed was the tallest and the biggest out of all– going against the wind to the point everything was blurry.

So, Jeongguk wasn't surprised when he heard Jimin gasped and suddenly gripped his Gujangbok.

“Jeon Jeongguk!!”

“Yes, my half…?” He answered ever so casually. Jin-Woo wasn't even in the fastest pace yet it was honestly terrifying. He glanced down, watching Jimin's hands that were clutching his clothes.
