An Entire Ocean++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Author's POV
As the light faded out, here came the cold breeze and the sound of owls from the window. It sounded rather like a piece of art to the crown prince's ears who were sleeping peacefully on his bed.
A black shadow suddenly appeared by the opening, silently crawling up its way inside the neat room. It was a man… He was wearing a black plain Gujangbok with a hint of dragon embroidery around the arms. His face was covered by a Talbak while his hand was holding a beautiful silver sword with the familiar symbol by his clothes.
He strolled near the sleeping figure voicelessly but stopped when he reached the bed as his eyes remained on Jeongguk who was still deep in slumber. His hands trembled slightly while he let out shaky breaths and slowly pulled out his sword. He pointed the pommel up to the sky with its point directly targeted at Jeongguk's heart.
Now, all he needed to do was to push down, harder, deeper, faster however he wanted to. However he always imagined it.
But just like fate had planned something different, a few knocks on the door were heard, stirring Jeongguk from his sleep. Seeing this, the man huffed quietly and rushed to jump out of the window. However, on the contrary, the crown prince opened his blurry views a little bit too early and noticed the black figure.
Alarmed, he shot his eyes open widely and sat up. “Who are you?!” He yelled and marched towards the unknown man. But before he got to catch him, the man turned around in defence and slashed his sword against Jeongguk's arm, earning a wince from the crown prince who instinctively clutched the bloodied area. He took that chance then ran away while Jeongguk regained his composure and watched outside the window where the figure went, heading towards the palace gates.
“No, you are not going to get away with this!” He hissed coldly and rushed over to his table, grabbing his sword before making his way towards the exit. He was quick to open them and to his surprise, Hyun-Joo was standing outside his room.
“Jeongguk, what took you so-”
“Not now, someone just entered my room and is on its way to the gate. Follow me.” He cut in, earning a nod from the older. They didn't waste any more time than running, making sure to keep it silent as well to not alarm anyone else. It would be better if no one knew about this, Jeongguk didn't want to add any more burden on his shoulders.
It didn't take them long to reach the gate and unexpectedly, they met a sight of Yoongi patrolling the area. “General Min, is there anyone exiting from here in view?! Clad in black attire and bearing a Talbak and a sword?!” Jeongguk rushed to ask, looking around the spot to sense any suspicion but there was nothing. Not even a movement or a sound.
“My deepest apologies, Your Highness... I was the sole occupant in this place.” General Min spoke calmly, almost looking at the crown prince weirdly.
Jeongguk groaned and felt a hand pat on his shoulder. He glanced to the side and saw Hyun-Joo before the older one spoke. “Are you sure he went this way and not the other?” Jeongguk nodded his head at that and watched the older glanced back at Yoongi who was still eyeing them both.
