Minho stirred awake and slowly opened his eyes, looking over to see Jisung sitting up, awake, scrolling on his phone. He looked tired, his eyes were heavy and Minho started to wonder if it was his fault the boy was tired.
Jisung felt the pair of eyes on him and looked down a the boy "Morning hyung" he smiled softly. Minho gulped before sitting himself up "Morning... Have you been up long?"
Jisung shook his head "Nah, just twenty minutes" he replied with a lie. He had been over thinking the entire interaction with Minho's parents from last night.
And it wasn't like Jisung was stupid to figure out that Minho's parents were probably alcoholics.
Jisung looked down at his phone and let out a breath "There's a card on the bedside table for you" he spoke "I think your dad forgot to give it to you yesterday"
Minho furrowed his brows "Huh?" he looked to the side and picked the card into his hands.
Jisung looked up at Minho as he opened the card to read it. The confused look on the boy's face quickly changed to one of pure and utter shock.
"Are you alright?" Jisung asked worried by the look on the boy's face. Minho looked at Jisung before panicking and ripping the card up.
Jisung's eyes widened as he took a hold of Minho's wrists and stopping him from ripping the card any further.
"Yah! What the fuck are you-" Jisung stopped himself before sighing deeply. "I won't pry" He mumbled "You probably won't tell me why anyway"
Minho felt his breathing go shallow, his hands shaking and eyes stinging as he felt like he was about to cry.
Surely this wasn't a panic attack. Surely not.
"J-Ji" Minho mumbled as Jisung sat back with an unreadable look. The boy hummed unbothered.
"H-How... Do you know if you're... Having a panic attack?" He asked as he put his hand onto his chest feeling it tighten.
Jisung looked over at his best friend and quickly moved to hold his hands "Fuck!" he cursed "Shit, sorry, this is my fault-"
Jisung stopped himself again. "Look at me" He spoke sternly. He found that a stern and clear voice was exactly what he needed when he was panicking.
The whole soft and sweet tone made him worse. He didn't need someone to be nice and show sympathy - he wanted to fucking breathe.
Minho followed his words and squeezed Jisung's hands tightly. Jisung then instructed a flow of breathing to follow.
Minho tried to follow it but his mind was going back to the card.
"Follow my breath Minho, not your mind" Jisung spoke. Minho nodded "I'm try.. Trying..."
Jisung hummed and started the flow of breath again and slowly but surely Minho got his breathing pace back.
"I feel dizzy" He commented once he was okay again. Jisung pushed the boy's hair out of his face "I'm sorry, it was me being in a weird mood wasn't it?"
Minho shook his head "No.. It's just I never got a card from my dad" He shrugged before moving out of the bed to clean up the torn up pieces of card.
Jisung frowned "Oh" He mumbled "What a fucker" he scoffed following that "If it makes you feel better, you look so much more like your mom than that guy"
Minho looked over at Jisung in his bed and smiled "Thanks"
"Sometimes I even wonder why he's your dad, he's nothing like you" Jisung grinned. Minho chuckled "Unfortunately, he kinda is my dad" He sighed.
Jisung hummed. He wanted to ask Minho about his parents and about what he saw in the bathroom and even sitting with them.
But he didn't exactly think Minho was in the mind space for that.
Minho moved out of the bed and stood up with a soft sigh "Wanna go watch a movie in the sitting room?" he asked.
Jisung thought back onto last night with Minho's parents before nodding "Yeah sure"
Minho smiled "Cool, I'll go set up the TV!" He made his way out of the room with Jisung following behind.
"Want coffee?" Jisung asked as he followed down the stairs. Minho hummed "If you're making any" he smiled trying to push down the uneasy pain in his chest he still felt from the small panic attack he had.
He didn't even want to think about it. He saw the card and that was it. He could move on. Besides his mom probably made him write a card for him.
Minho opened the living room door and froze on the spot before shutting it again making Jisung look over at him.
"How about we go out somewhere instead?" Minho asked with a smile. Jisung furrowed his brows "All of a sudden?" he knew minho was hiding the fact his parents were probably still in the sitting room.
Minho nodded slowly "I... Uhm... Realised that... We might wake up my parents... You know?" He cleared his throat a little.
Jisung took a breath "Oh" he nodded slowly "Okay... That's fine" he gave a half smile.
Minho was lying to him.
Jisung thought the boy could trust him enough to tell him about his family but even that wasn't true.
Jisung could tell Minho everything but clearly it wasn't the same for Minho.
And although Jisung knew it shouldn't be a problem, Minho clearly didn't want anyone to know - he still felt sad that Minho couldn't confined in him.
