Minho grinned at the comments on his post as he sat down at his desk to complete some written work for an assignment.
Jisung was in his own room, doing whatever. But judging from how quiet he got as the evening went on, he was probably asleep.
Minho thought back onto their little boba 'date'. He didn't think of it as one but in a way the more comments he read from his friends the more he thought about it.
And it did seem like an actual date.
Minho didn't want to think of it as one but here he was - he couldn't deny that it definitely was similar to one even though they always went to get boba so why it felt different he didn't know.
Minho also couldn't deny the awkward feeling he had in his stomach that made him feel like getting sick.
He hated it. He didn't want to feel it either. Not for Jisung. Not for anyone. Not now.
And that's when he was back into his mood from before.
And as if on cue - His mom called.
He answered it quick, not wanting to leave her waiting too long.
"Hi mom" he mumbled as he answered the call. The woman hummed lowly on the other end. "Hi sweetheart" her voice was soft.
Minho furrowed his brows "Are you okay? Why are you calling?" he asked as he looked at some of the photos he had on his wall.
The woman stayed quiet, he heard her leaving out a breath. "I want to talk to you about your birthday"
Minho tensed. He still didn't ask her about Jisung staying over because he knew she'd be more than happy to let him stay.
Minho didn't want that.
"What about my birthday?" He asked awkwardly, disliking the topic. The woman took in a breath "What do you want to do?" she asked.
Minho stayed quiet. He didn't want to do anything. Not with her. Not with his dad.
"We could go out for drinks?" She suggested. Minho closed his eyes, leaning back in his chair "No" he mumbled.
The woman sighed "No?" she replied shocked. Minho looked over at a photo of him and Jisung before speaking.
"Can..." He took a breath. "Can Jisung.." Saying something so simple was so damn hard for him.
"Can Jisung stay over..." he mumbled "For my birthday?" he asked. Finally, he sealed his fate.
And he was scared.
But the small gasp and chuckle from his mom made him smile a little "Jisungie? Of course!" she smiled "I must make a meal for us all!" she chuckled.
Of course.. The mention of someone in our house and you decide to be my mother... Minho thought to himself.
He felt like crying. He felt empty and unloved with the simple sentence from her.
"I'll start planning! I'll see you next weekend!" she was bubbly and quick to end the call.
Like always.
Minho stared at the contact on his phone for a while before standing up and bringing himself back to Jisung's room.
Here he was again. In his comfort place - Jisung.
Jisung was in fact sleeping. Minho stared at the boy's neck littered with fading hickies he gave him and sighed.
A few thoughts crossed his mind before he pushed them aside and sat down on the boy's bed. He pushed the covers slightly so he could get under them.
He lied on his side, looking at Jisung who faced him. He didn't want to wake him but even so, the sight of the boy sleeping was enough to put Minho at ease.
He closed his eyes after a while to fall asleep.
And because he was with Jisung, sleep was easy.
