Jisung stirred awake, only to see it was still dark outside. He took a breath and sighed before checking the time on his watch.
2:43am.
He groaned before sitting himself up a little and looking to his side, Minho was sound asleep. He nodded his head lightly before carefully crawling over the elder and leaving the room.
This was his usual thing that he'd do if he woke up during the night.
He'd just grab a glass of water and zone out while drinking it. Somehow it made him tired enough to go back to sleep.
He tried to be quiet as possible to not wake anyone but was surprised to see the lights still on downstairs.
Maybe it was just something Minho's parents did. Jisung quickly made his way to the kitchen, looking around for a glass.
That's when he heard laughter before the kitchen door swung open to reveal Eunyeo.
Jisung froze on the spot but the woman looked very awake.
In fact, she was holding a wine glass in her hand. "Jisungie!" she smiled. "You're awake??"
Her speech was very bubbly yet slurred. Jisung nodded lightly. She was definitely drunk.
"I was just trying to look for a glass" He chuckled. The woman smiled before stumbling over to him "There's some in the living room! Come join us dear"
Jisung went to refuse but was pulled into the living room.
He definitely never felt uncomfortable with Minho's mom but his dad was a bit odd to his liking.
And when he smelled the scent of smoke in the living room that the man was smoking, it didn't exactly make Jisung's view of him any better.
"Oh, Jisung? You're up?" he asked. Jisung coughed a little "Mhm" he was sat down on the sofa.
Jisung watched as Eunyeo poured him a glass of wine "This should help, always helps me" she chuckled.
Jisung stared at the glass and felt even more uncomfortable - especially after what he found in the bathroom earlier.
"Can't sleep is it?" Minho's dad asked lightly as he blew out smoke from his mouth. Jisung twitched his nose a little "Yeah... I woke up"
The man nodded "If you want, try this" he handed him the bunt "It'll relax you"
Jisung looked at the bunt in between the man's fingers before gulping.
How the fuck do you get yourself out of this?
"Ah... No... It's okay-"
"Go on! Try it! It won't kill you, Minho smokes too" Eunyeo cut across.
Jisung looked at her. "What?" he was shocked.
"Minho... Smokes?" he asked. Minho's dad brought the bunt away to smoke it himself.
Eunyeo nodded "He has been since... He was..." She tried to think "Fourteen?"
Jisung felt his heart sink.
Minho never told him.
"I... Never knew that" He mumbled. Jisung watched Eunyeo finish off her glass of wine. "He doesn't talk about it does he?" she asked.
Jisung shook his head. "No.. Not really" he mumbled.
Jisung gulped. He wanted to go back to Minho.
"I'm.. Pretty tired again.... I think I might try go to sleep" He got up quickly faking a yawn.
Eunyeo frowned "Sungie, have a drink with us" She pouted. Minho's dad chuckled "Go on, Jisung" he gestured to the range of alcoholic drinks on the table.
Jisung felt even more unnerved "I'm alright, thanks for the offer!" He bowed "Goodnight" he then left before he was kept there.
He shivered as he stood in the hall. He sniffed his pj top and cringed that it smelt like whatever Minho's dad was smoking.
Jisung sighed, he moved to go upstairs but was stopped by the falling sound of a card.
He looked over and saw a birthday card on the floor that he knocked off the drawer beside him. "Oh" he mumbled as he picked it up.
He smiled at the childish blue card with a car on it. He lightly opened it not really thinking of the fact it wasn't his card to read.
But there wasn't much in it anyway.

Happy birthday, son.

Jisung smiled lightly and closed the card. Maybe his dad forgot the card was there.
He tried to make light of the situation he found himself in just there but he felt really uneasy about it.
He'd say it to Minho later... Yeah.
He really didn't know what was going on with Minho anymore - he smoked?
Just when Jisung thought he had Lee Minho all figured out...
There was still more left untold.
