Minho didn't really question the couple of weird looks that Jisung gave him once he came back from the bathroom.

Even now, sitting across from each other at the dinner table in the kitchen, Minho didn't question how Jisung studied him.

He felt like he was being interrogated without the questioning aspect and it somehow felt worse.

He couldn't even ask what was wrong since his mom and dad were talking to him every chance he got.

For the one day he didn't want them to talk, they did.

"Minho!" Minho's mom smiled "I think we should all make a toast!" she took hold of her wine glass and raised it up.

Minho's dad followed as he stayed out. Jisung smiled lightly and raised his glass too before looking at Minho.

"Min?" He spoke softly. Minho sighed before lifting his glass and giving a brief smile.

"Happy birthday Minho!" His mom smiled "We love you so much!" she added before everyone clincked their glasses together.

Minho took a bare sip of his wine as he glanced at his mom downing the glass. He looked at Jisung and saw him also down half of the wine.

Looked down at his plate, losing his appetite.

Jisung began to talk then "Eunyeo, do you still work at the bar from before?" He asked lightly with a smile. Minho looked over quickly at Jisung feeling his heart pounding in his chest.

Eunyeo nodded "An occasional time yeah, why? Looking for a job?" she grinned resting her hands onto the table.

Minho's father chuckled "Jisung, I don't think a bar is your type of place to work" He leaned back. Minho for the first time agreed with the man "Yeah. Why would you want to work there?"

He didn't intend it to sound harsh but clearly it did. Jisung raised a brow at him "I was only considering it, calm down" he scoffed a little.

Eunyeo frowned "I think he'd be a great bartender" She shrugged. Minho looked at her "Not at your bar" he mumbled.

Jisung looked at Minho and saw just how uncomfortable he was with the conversation. Maybe this wasn't a topic to talk about.

"Eh, maybe I'll work in a café" Jisung leaned back "I saw there's a cat café hiring" he smiled.

Jisung saw Minho relax instantly "Really?" His dad asked "You'd work there?" he raised a brow.

Jisung nodded "Yeah why not?" he chuckled. "It's a job, I get paid, and spend my entire day with cats" he smiled.

Minho rolled his eyes "You're literally allergic to cats" he stated. Eunyeo chuckled "Didn't you want a cat Minho?" she asked tilting her head.

Minho sighed "Yeah" he then got up from the table "If we're finished eating, I wanna go watch a movie with Jisung now" he gave an excuse to just get away.

Jisung's eyes widened a little from the abrupt mention of a movie but he got up nonetheless.

He quickly thanked Minho's mom for the food before following Minho to his bedroom.

Jisung quietly shut the door behind him as Minho sat down on his bed running a hand through his hair.

"Are you... Okay?" He asked. Minho looked up at him. "I don't know"

Jisung watched as Minho lightly twisted the small obsidian beads on his bracelet "Your mom is into spiritual stuff isn't she?"

Jisung nodded going to sit beside him. "She wanted to be a holistic therapist before becoming a dance teacher instead" he chuckled.
