It was it. The day of the coronation. I was sitting beside Ben in a carriage as we drove towards the cathedral where the coronation was taking place. I fidgeted with the blue box in my lap that held the anti-love potion. "Don't be nervous," Ben said. "All you have to do is sit there and look beautiful. No problem there." I smiled at him "Thank you." He held out his golden ring with a beast face on it.

"Mal, would you wear my ring?" I smiled awkwardly. "Um... not now. I think it would probably just fall right off of me. I have something for you." He grinned. "For me?" I nodded. "Yeah. It's just for later, you know, when you need strength. Some carbs to keep up your energy." i showed him the brownie.

"Always thinking. But I can't wait." He grabbed the brownie and ate it. "No!" I yelled, horrified. The plan would all go wrong now! "Mm. Mm... Mm! This is really good." Ben said. "Uh, do you... Do you feel okay?" I asked cautiously. "You bet."

"Would you say that you're still in... that... that you have very strong feelings for me?" I asked.  "I'm not sure. I mean, let's give the anti-love potion a few minutes to take effect." I nodded, because that would be the sensible thing to do. "Yeah... Okay." Then I realized what he had said.
"What? What? You knew?"

Ben laughed, "That you spelled me? Yeah. Yeah, I knew." I was even more horrified now. "I'm... I can explain myself."

"No, look, It's fine. I mean, you had a crush on me. I was with Audrey. You didn't trust that it could happen on its own. Am I right?" I nodded convincingly. "Yes. You're so right. So, then, how long have you known?" he shrugged. "Since our first date. Your spell washed away in the Enchanted Lake." I looked down. "So then what? You've just been... Faking it since then?" He slid his ring onto my finger. "I haven't been faking anything."

Luckily I was saved from the embarrassment of having to reply to that, because we had just arrived at the cathedral. We walked up the stairs and were greeted by Ben's parents. "About the other day, I just..." I started to apologise, but King Adam cut over me. "I told Ben this wasn't going to be easy."

"You also taught me that a king has to believe in himself. Even when it isn't easy." Ben said. Adam was surprised. "I did? I... how very wise of me." Belle took her son's hands. "Ben, we are very proud of you. You keep listening to your heart." Ben smiled. "Thanks, mom."

"You're gonna make a fine king." Adam told him. "Wish me luck." Ben told me as I was led in by a courtier. I was seated in the front row beside Adam, Belle, and Beatrix. Ben was up on the podium to be crowned first.
