Backlash 2023

Kathrine's POV

The Judgment Day and I entered the arena together with suitcases in hand. We were taken to our dressing rooms which were across from each other. Since I wasn't a part of The Judgment Day yet, WWE still gave me my own dressing room. Plus I liked having some privacy while I changed. We've been taking things slow still. We've had more sexy moments here and there but nothing crazy. We have been doing a lot of date nights though.

We all agreed that our outfits/gear had to be white and purple so I changed into a pair of white pants with purple going down the sides. My top was a basic white crop top. I added a bunch of chains around my neck and a black harness over my shirt. I put on a pair of all-white Converse and checked myself out in the mirror. I grabbed my phone from my bag before I left the room.

I went across the hall and knocked on The Judgment Day's door. I waited a second before Damian opened the door. He stepped to the side to let me in. I looked around at everyone to see how their gear came out! They all looked phenomenal! We waited in their dressing room until it was Rhea and I's time to go to gorilla. Her match was the one before Damian's so we wouldn't see the boys until after his match. We gave them hugs and made our way to gorilla. Rhea held my hand the entire way there.

The entire match felt like a blur. Zelina got annoyed that I kept interfering with the match so she attacked me and threw me into the steel steps. Now that hurt. I hit my shoulder pretty hard on the steps so I stayed down on the ground in pain for a while. I heard Rhea's music blasting through the arena, telling me she won! Once the cameras were off of Rhea, she went straight over to me and helped me up.

Rhea's POV

Kathrine and I walked back to The Judgement Day dressing room. I saw her hit her shoulder hard on the steel steps so I gave her an ice pack just in case she was in any pain. I sat down on the couch next to her and pulled her into me. As she cuddled into me, I felt her relax. With everything that's gone on recently, I could tell she needed something like this. Just some one-on-one time with one of us. She put her head on my shoulder and let out a big deep breath. I turned my head and kissed her on the head.

We watched Damian kick Bad Bunny's ass for a while. We considered going out there when Damian kicked his ankle into the ring post. Then to add insult to injury, Bunny hit his leg with a kendo stick twice and then hyperextended his leg so he was in more pain. Kathrine was ready to go out there and kick Bunny's ass but I had to hold her back. She already had a hurt shoulder, I didn't want it to get worse.

Priest looked like he was in pain but we couldn't tell if it was real or if he was selling it well. Kathrine and I watched in worry for Damian. He ended up apologizing to Bunny but it was just a trick so Bunny couldn't hit his leg with a chair again. He kicked Bunny in the face which gave Damian a window to grab a chair and hit Bunny with it. Just before he hit Bunny with the chair, Bunny hit Damian in the nuts. Kathrine and I gave a little chuckle when that happened.

Bunny grabbed the chair again and as he was getting up, Dominik and Finn came running out to help Priest. Dom and Finn kicked Bunny's ass until Dom's dad Rey came running out to help Bunny. Rey was unsuccessful at trying to take them down but then Carlito came to the aid of Rey! Dom and Finn tried to leave before more damage was done but they were stopped by Savio Vega and the LWO! Everyone but Savio started kicking the shit out of Dom. Finn tried to leave but was stopped by Savio. Finn and Dom shared the same fate from Savio. They were able to run away but Savio, Carlito, Rey, and the LWO followed.

Bad Bunny ended up winning the match but Kat and I were proud of Damian for going out there and fighting, even with an injured leg. Rey, Carlito, Savio Vega, and the LWO came back out and celebrated with Bunny in the ring. Once the show was over, Kat and I rushed to medical to see how Damian was doing. Thankfully nothing was broken, his leg will just be sore for a while. Dom and Finn helped Priest get back to the dressing room while Kat and I followed.

Kat was about to walk back into her dressing room when I stopped her. "Hey, you know you can come in here with us right?" "I know! I just... I don't know. You guys wouldn't feel weird changing with me in there?" "Not at all! But of course, it's up to you. We don't want to make you feel rushed if you don't feel like you're ready to take that step yet." She thought about it for a minute. She smiled before she answered. "OK then! Can you help me move my stuff in there?" "Of course!"

When the boys saw us carrying Kathrine's stuff from her dressing room, their faces lit up with smiles. This didn't seem like a big step to outsiders but it was for us! It showed that Kathrine was opening up more and that's all we want is for her to be comfortable. As we changed together, I could see Kathrine's wheels turning. I wonder what she was thinking about.

When we got back to our hotel, Caleb took our belongings and put them in our room. All of us plopped down onto the couch and reminisced about our crazy week here in Puerto Rico. "We definitely need to come back here for a vacation at some point!" Kathrine stated. "I agree! Let's just see how our schedules end up being the rest of this year," I responded. "Yeah somethings telling me that things are about to get crazier for all of us," Finn said. "I feel the same but can we not worry about work right now?" Dom asked. "Yeah, work is the reason my leg is in pain so I don't want to think about it right now," said Damian. "Ok, ok. Wanna watch a movie then?" They all said yes. We all watched The Hangover until it was time for us to go to bed.

A/N: I figured since Backlash 2023 was a year ago today, it only felt right to post this chapter! Also, can we talk about Priest's match against Jey? Not only did my heart stop multiple times when Jey went to pin Damian but that ending when he threw JD and Finn! Like they were just trying to help cause he was down bad! I really hope they don't break up while Rhea is gone. I keep saying she should come back for like one night and be like "I'm gone for not even 3 weeks and The Judgment Day is already falling apart". Idk something like that. Hopefully, nothing serious happens tonight on Raw! Anywho, as always, thank you for reading and I'll talk to y'all in chapter 19!
