Kathrine's POV

We finally arrived at the arena in San Diego for Raw Day One, our excitement palpable as we prepared for another thrilling night of WWE action. Damian and I, although not scheduled for matches tonight, were eager to soak in the atmosphere.

Rhea had a highly anticipated match against Ivy Nile. I had the privilege of accompanying her to the ring, feeling the rush of adrenaline as the crowd erupted in cheers for the Nightmare. Meanwhile, Finn and Dominik were set to team up against R-Truth and The Miz. Damian, ever supportive, stood proudly by their side as they strategized and geared up for their bout.

The backstage area buzzed with anticipation and camaraderie as we celebrated the start of a new year with our WWE family. Laughter and friendly banter filled the air, a stark contrast to the intensity of what was about to unfold.

As the night progressed, and the arena came alive with the energy of the matches, I couldn't shake a lingering sense of unease. It was in the midst of this excitement that my phone suddenly rang with an unknown number flashing on the screen. Normally, I would have ignored it, dismissing it as a wrong number or telemarketer. But something compelled me to answer, a decision that would unravel a moment of dread.

"Hello?" I answered tentatively, not expecting what came next. "Hey, beautiful," a chillingly familiar voice greeted me. It was Alex. My heart skipped a beat as memories I had buried deep within resurfaced with painful clarity. "Long time no talk." My breath caught in my throat as I struggled to find words. Alex was calling me from jail, a place I had hoped would keep him far from my life. His voice, once so charming and comforting, now dripped with menace.

"I've been thinking about you," he continued, his tone unsettlingly casual. "Miss me?" Fear clutched at my chest, paralyzing me as I stood rooted to the spot. Rhea, always perceptive, noticed my sudden change in demeanor. She approached me with concern etched on her face, her own match having concluded successfully just moments ago. "Hey, what's wrong?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine worry.

I handed her the phone numbly, unable to speak. As she listened to Alex's voice on the other end, her expression hardened into a mask of fury. The familiar sound of his threats sent a chill through the room, drawing the attention of Damian, Finn, and Dominik.

Rhea's anger erupted like a storm as she shouted back into the phone, her words sharp and fierce. Damian and Finn immediately moved to stand by her side, their expressions grim and determined. The weight of their solidarity eased some of the fear tightening my chest, reminding me that I wasn't facing this alone.

Dominik, ever the empathetic soul, gently guided me away from the tense atmosphere. His touch was grounding, his presence a comforting anchor in the swirling storm of emotions. We wandered backstage, away from prying eyes and the chaos of the arena, finding solace in the quiet moments between matches.

He listened patiently as I recounted the night before in Vegas, the exhilaration of the upcoming Royal Rumble, and our dreams for WrestleMania. His calm demeanor and unwavering support were a balm to my frayed nerves, offering a temporary reprieve from the turmoil that had shaken me to the core. "Hey, Hermosa," he murmured softly, drawing me into a reassuring embrace. "Don't worry. We'll always protect you, no matter what."

His words were a lifeline, reminding me that I was surrounded by friends who cared deeply for me. We strolled around the arena hand in hand, the weight of his hand in mine a constant source of comfort as we navigated the corridors filled with bustling crew members and fellow Superstars preparing for their matches.

When we eventually returned to our dressing room, the tension had dissipated, replaced by a somber calm. Rhea had ended the call, her jaw set with determination as she rejoined us, flanked by Damian and Finn. They enveloped me in a group hug, their concern palpable as they checked in on my well-being. "Are you okay?" Finn asked quietly, his usually intense gaze softened with genuine worry. "I'm shaken," I admitted truthfully, feeling the weight of the evening's events settle upon me. "But I'll be okay. Dom helped."

Their expressions softened with relief. They knew about my struggles with anxiety and panic attacks, a vulnerability I rarely showed but one they understood all too well. Their unwavering presence by my side was a testament to the bond we shared, forged through countless battles inside and outside the ring. As the night wore on, the arena filled with the roar of the crowd and the thrill of electrifying matches. Despite the lingering unease from Alex's call, I found strength in the resilience of my friends and the shared passion that united us all. We laughed, we cheered, and we celebrated each other's victories and moments of triumph, a testament to the unbreakable spirit of the WWE family.

In the end, Raw Day One was more than just another event in the WWE calendar. It was a reminder of the power of friendship, resilience, and the unwavering support that sustains us through the highs and lows of life in and out of the ring. As we looked ahead to the challenges and triumphs awaiting us in the new year, I knew with certainty that I was surrounded by a team that would always have my back, no matter what obstacles lay ahead.
