Kathrine's POV

I was sitting poolside with Rhea getting a tan. Damian was grilling food while Dominik and Finn were fighting over what game to play in the pool. Damian snuck up behind Finn and Dom and pushed them into the pool. Rhea and I laughed from our lounge chairs. "Be careful Dam, they're gonna end up getting their revenge at some point," Rhea warned Damian. Rhea and I were chit-chatting when my phone started blowing up.

Maya: BITCH ANSWER ME!! I'VE GOT NEWS!!!!!!

Kathrine: Jeez, calm down! What?

Maya: I was finally able to get some time off work for once!

Kathrine: Yay! What are you planning with your time off?

Maya: Hehe. Ding dong

Kathrine: Ding dong? Maya, are you ok?

Maya: I'm waiting!

Kathrine: WAITING FOR WHAT?

Maya: ANSWER THE DAMN DOOR AND YOU'LL SEE!

"No fucking way!" I said as I rushed from the backyard to the front door. I threw the front door open and was met with my best friend! We slammed our bodies into one another as we hugged. I haven't been able to hang out with Maya in months! And she took time off to see me!

We let go of our hug so she could come inside. Caleb was ready and waiting to help take her bags upstairs. "It's nice to see you again Ms. Hope," "You too Caleb!" Caleb walked upstairs with Maya's bags in tow. "You ready to meet them?" I asked Maya. "I've been ready!" she responded.

We walked into the backyard together. Rhea was the first one to notice Maya. "Oh my god Maya! It's nice to see you again!" Rhea said as she hugged Maya. Rhea and Maya thankfully got along really well! She's met Damian, Finn, and Dominik a few times. The interactions weren't long but they knew who she was and how much she meant to me.

Dom and Finn were too distracted in the pool to notice anything but Damian stepped away from the grill to greet her. They hugged, and he told her he'd throw on an extra burger for her. Maya jokingly yelled at Dom and Finn for not paying attention to her. After talking briefly, Maya went upstairs to change into a swimsuit.

Damian finished cooking and we enjoyed our lunch together. My partners and I were catching up with Maya when she brought up my family. "Yeah, your mom was so mad that we broke her favorite lamp. How is she by the way?" Maya asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "I wish I could tell you," "Still not on speaking terms?" I shook my head in a no response. "They have to come to me and I made that very clear." My partners looked at us with confusion.

"You're not on speaking terms with your parents?" Rhea asked. Rhea and I never discussed my family life when we first met so she has no idea what's going on. "Oh I guess I haven't mentioned my family to you guys yet," "If you wouldn't mind sharing, we would like to hear the situation," Finn replied. I took a deep breath in before I started explaining.

"So when I was first discovered, my parents and brothers were supportive. They loved that I was acting, doing music, and dancing. But things went downhill when I told them that I wanted to come to WWE. They told me not to waste my time with a stupid childish dream. My parents and I got into a huge fight a week before I started training. They said some things that aren't forgivable. As for my brothers, they made it pretty clear that they were with our parents. It's been over 5 years since I last spoke to any of them. I miss them every day but they hurt me by saying what they said." "Damn Mariposa, I'm so sorry," Damian stated.

"Not to bring this asshole up but did they know about Alex?" Dominik asked. "Nope. We started dating after I stopped talking to them," "How did you two meet again?" asked Rhea. "We met at a party. We had mutual friends at the time that were going to the party so both of us tagged along. He was sweet at first, but he kept insisting that he move in with me. After a while, I gave in and let him move in. I should've never made that decision. That's when the abuse started. Whenever I was late because my plane was delayed or I was stuck in traffic, he got mad for no reason and would hit me wherever he could. I told him if he didn't stop that I was going to leave him. Let's just say he got so mad he gave me a concussion and almost broke my arm. Then he said that if I told anyone at work that I got those from him, he would make my life a living hell. So if anyone commented on my bruises, I would say I got them from training. One day I had enough and told Rhea and Maya what was going on and they helped me leave when he was out of the apartment for the weekend. I lived with Rhea for a while until I found a place to live in Florida. I hadn't heard or seen anything of him since our breakup up until a few months ago."

I looked at the expressions on my partner's faces. Rhea knew the stuff with Alex and me so her look was more comforting. The boys on the other hand looked like they wanted to murder him more than they did before! "Wow," "Damn Hermosa," "Is it still possible to murder him?" Finn, Dominik, and Damian said one after the other. "Oh don't worry Damian, if the purge ever happens, he's number one on my list. I'll call you guys so we can do it together. Kathrine can stay at home," Maya jokingly stated. "Haha very funny. If anyone gets to do that to him, I should be the one to give him the final blow!" "True. You can come with then," All of us started laughing at the conversation.

Maya got up to use the bathroom so it was just me, Rhea, Dominik, Finn, and Damian. "Thanks for sharing that with us love. That means a lot," Finn said breaking the silence. "I trust you guys with that information about me. Plus you guys were gonna find out sooner or later so now seemed like the right time," They didn't say anything. What they did do was pull me into a hug. This was where I felt safest. My people. My loves. They made me feel safe and loved. I didn't think I could fall more in love with them but at that moment, I did!

"Aww! Y'all are too cute!" We heard Maya say. "I got a picture of that hug by the way. I'll send it to y'all. So we continuing our pool day or not?" Maya continued. We spent the day swimming and tanning. When I was in the pool with Rhea at one point, I saw Maya talking with the boys and they seemed to be getting along well! Thank god! My best friend and my partners got along! That's all I'll ever ask for! 

A/N: We finally learned about Kathrine's past! Which is very depressing. Anywho, happy pride month y'all! I plan on posting as much as I possibly can this month. We'll see how much I'm able to do! As always, I hope you enjoyed and I'll talk to y'all in chapter 29!!!!
