fWhip was back.

Jimmy didn't expect the reaction the goblin to being fired.

He called the sherrif corrupt, refused to give up his badge, teased him, made it seem as though Jimmy had no power to fire him, even though he had all of the power to do so.

It took everything in Jimmy's power to not shoot him when that happened initially.

Jimmy had already had to distance himself from the other empires after he'd accidentally killed Joel. He didn't want any repeats of that or anything similar to it if it could be avoided.

Jimmy didn't want to appease the voice in his head. He didn't want to loose control. He'd fought so, so hard to keep himself in control over the listener inside him who would rather see the world burn. He didn't want to give up that self-control. Not after he had worked so hard to get where he was now, he had worked hard to keep the dam closed for so long, and he didn't want it to open again and flood like it had when he had last seen Joel.

Jimmy told fWhip to give his badge over and leave, upon their first confrontation. A really simple request. And yet he still didn't comply.

At one point the taller put his hand on his gun, but he didn't draw it. The sherrif thinks fWhip just thought he was resting his hand on it, because he didn't flinch back.

He was grateful for that fact. As far as he was aware, only himself and Joel knew exactly what happened. He didn't think False knew exactly what went down, just that he shot the god.

When fWhip finally left Jimmy alone, he heard footsteps from behind him. He whipped his head around to see Scott stood there.

"Howdy Sherrif!"

"Scott? What do you need?" He questioned as he fully turned to face the other

Normally Scott would only come over to Tumble Town when Joel did before the incident. Or he'd sneak around. He rarely saw him out in the open and starting a conversation with him alone.

"What did you do to Joel? I noticed he hadn't been coming over here anymore and when I asked him about it he sounded scared when I mentioned your name."

Jimmy froze. Scott wasn't supposed to know. Hell! Nobody was supposed to know. Jimmy wasn't even supposed to do it.

"Uhm- I don't know what you mean. I just thought he finally wanted to stop teasing me. I don't know why he'd be scared."

Normally himself and Scott could tell when the other was lying. Jimmy more so, especially since he was able to hear the way Scott's heartbeat sped up when he lied. But Scott couldn't that day. The sherrif's voice was steady and he sounded genuine. His tone was laced with confusion. It truly did feel like Jimmy had been lying his whole life.

He felt slightly bad lying to Scott, he really did. But it's what needed to be done in that instance. For other's sakes as much as his own.

"Oh. I guess I can ask False then? Joel mentioned her name as well when something which he called "the incident" happened."

Here's where Jimmy started to panic. If Scott asked False, she'd tell him that he shot Joel. And then he'd come back to the mesa. He'd probably be afraid. He'd ask him about it. Shit. No. He can't find out- if he finds out he'll tell everyone!!

-mmy?

Jimmy!?

Jimmy!!

"JIMMY!!"

He looked to Scott, a worried look on the emperor's face.

"You alright? I've been calling your name for the past five minutes."
